really if you want to pray in someone why to pray in Krisna and not to jesus
I don't pray to either but Krishna is a God. Jesus was just a middleman and the big guy's kid. WHich would you choose?
Krishna?why to believe in Krisna,is pretty stupid if someone doesnt believes in jesus why to believe in Krishna?is stupid isnt it?
NOt everyone believes in Jesus. He and Krishna are too different religions. both have their validities. Jesus' fan club just needs to realize that.
i'm not in the official jesus fun club if you born in a christian culture and you suddendly start thinking about krisna cause george was a follower is stupid,if you deny christianity why not deny all the other religions,to believe in Krishna is like a modern man believes in the 12 gods of olympus. If i dont believe jesus was a god,why should i think krisna was

I was born and raised in a christain culture but I grew up among hindus. I knew about them before I knew George was into it. Actually, I first leanred about hinduism from Carl Sagan and he was an atheist. and some people believe in some religions and not others.

Most religions have a central God figure and say to be kind and loving, non-violent, positive things like that. "They all lead to the same place" is an often used saying when discussing the world's greatest religions. A person can be a good person without being religious or spiritually inclined, however. (Just my 2 cents from the peanut gallery)

There were some mighty fine herbs back then. Here's me wee parody of "Waiting On You All."
Since when did George own 49% of GM? I demand the facts now.
The same time a Pope owned 51%.
Damn Tor! You tore (pardon a pun today!) Krishna up in that, so when did you first start making jokes about Krishna? ..er pardon me Vishnu! ..No that time I just sneezed.. guzhuntiet sorry Vishna! No Vishnu! Godbless Kathryn O, I?ll go out on a limb and say those gummy bears are ridiculously good. And oddly close to holy! Hare Krishna does sort of make you feel happy if you think about it long enough. Hey tor, who's that in the photo in your avatar?
Gee, Kapoo, I don't think moi said anything about Krishna (Did ya dig the Baby Krishna?) that I didn't say about Jehovah, Allah, Satan, Lennon, Harrison or myself. Hey, since when is tellin' the turth "Tore"ing? The guy in me avatar is the world's craziest [To be deliberately/openly sane on The Planet Of The Insane Apes IS the most insane thing a person can do] dude, moi. Here's a lill' POPE GUY for ya.
Stay on groovin' safari, Tor -

Well that's just silly. When people give up on one specific romantic relationship, for example, this does not mean that they've given up on romance entirely. People get divorced, and a bit of time later, may end up remarrying, or finding someone else that they love. The same can be said about religion. Finding yourself doubting the divinity of Jesus, does not mean you doubt that divinity exists altogether. People may still have a belief in the supernatural/divine/spiritual, even if they've lost belief in the 'official' and traditional interpretation of who Jesus was/is.

In a nutshell, there are other religions then the judeo christian ones, and belief or nonbelief in one does not include or exclude the other.

Yes, and Baha'i Faith believes in them all. I'm going to start reading their stuff if I can understand it.

That's a beautiful cool all inclusive religion. I remember Seals and Croft telling us about it at a coffee house, man they were out of this world nice guys You even forgot they were famous popular successful musicians, 'cause of the way they related to you while talking to you. So very, very nice and kind, and they weren't pushy about describing their faith, at all. They were cool about it

so what's your religion?

I'm a secular ecumenical. The jury's still out on the God thing, but I recognize the wise teachings from every religion, the general principles about how human beings should live together. But that's neither here nor there, and he didn't specifically ask me.

...of course then you're labeled as being in a cult by the Christian denominations. Can't have too much THINKING, searching, or meditating going on, now can we?

Have you ever studied Theosophy which also accepts the wise teachings of all the religions?

Christians do it and get the wrap for it but they're not the only guilty party. Orthodox Jews do it too (as a witch, I was persecuted by them even worse then by Christians) and so do Muslims. I'm sure I only named three. Basically, no matter who you are, someone's religion hates you. (Yes, I copywrighted that for a t-shirt)

meditation is absolutely awesome, kapoo. it is truly the Best, honest. if you believe that "you" are not your body, and that "you" are not even your mind or thoughts, that the "real" you is an eternal, indestructible Spirit, then you can get the real meaning of meditation. yes, we in the West, see the physical value (lower blood pressure, reduced stress, lower cholesterol levels, etc) of meditation, but the real meaning is to still the body and quiet the mind, cease the seemingly endless chain of thoughts, and "be". Just be. be aware of your consciousness. transcend the body and the mind and see yourself for what you really are: an eternal, unchanging, droplet of GOD the creator of all that is, both seen and unseen. Once you get there... is is absolutely amazing. You don't want to come back. The kingdom of GOD is within you.
That is an awesome explanation about meditation! I would add that people tend to look for peace anywhere in the world, they think peace is somewhere out there, once they achieve goals, settled things or anything.... But the true peace is withing us and has always been! We only are blinded by a veil, just a veil but a very bothering one. The veil is the ego, the mental, all your worries, fears, all the noise your mind can produce and it is really really strong. Your ego tries to make you believe that without it, you can't be happy, you can't exist. So you hold on tight to your ego and let it control you. You also hold on tight to so many things that make it heavier for your mind. With the meditation, you discover little by little what is behind the veil. It is absolutely marvellous. It is not just a rest, not like sleeping, it is ten billion times more amazing and helpful! But you need to practice regularly enough I think, which I unfortunately don't. For someone who really wants to try it seriously and not just practice it once or twice to be able to make fun of it, meditation is more awesome than we think before we started.

Hey guys... Not need to argue about that. For those who have faith in it, God is everywhere, you can name it how you like, follow the way/religion you like... It is all for the same purpose, the same "goal" : Love, Peace... Praying Jesus is as wonderful as praying Krishna or your Guardian Angel or Mother Nature or else... There is no level and no better. Some persons are born christians because their parents made them this way because their grandparents made their parents this way, etc.... And some of them choose a different way in the middle of their life, it's simple as that and it does not really matter.

That's good to know. Wow. You've met lots of famous musicians, haven't you? World peace is always something I've supported and love of course. I'm enjoying the readings so far.

Not all religions and belief systems are about peace and love. Some are quite violent. everybody is a sinner in somebody's religion.
