17th Sept 1969, Media on both sides of the Atlantic were running stories that said Paul McCartney was dead. He was supposedly killed in a car accident in Scotland on November 9th, 1966 and that a double had been taking his place for public appearances. In fact, Paul and his girlfriend Jane Asher were on vacation in Kenya at the time. More on this http//www.thisdayinmusic.com/pages/paul_mccartney_death_myths

Why are you bringing up this old crap now? Sorry, but it is just so tedious, not to mention ridiculous.

Yes yawn... There are so many photos where Paul looks almost identical to his younger photos... I suppose there are some folks who actually still think the moon is made of cheese

Its fun to talk about the "clues". An exercise in interpreting things anyway you want. But, I'm sure threads have already discussed this to death.

Has definitely been done to death!.... But it was intriguing. Very clever, whoever the real perpetrators of that theory were. I recall, as a kid who was a fan of KISS, there was a magazine (might have been CIRCUS?) that devoted an entire issue to the theory that "the real" Gene Simmons had died and been cloned. That was prior to me being aware of the Paul is Dead conspiracy. Even there, they were all trying to copy The Beatles.

                No pun intended, right?

James Paul McCartney = JPMC = Just Push My Coffin. It can't be a coincidence.

The interesting aspect of these 'clues' is when you try and create new ones that would apply to the John, George or Ringo?

George retired after an unfortunate lozenge accident in 1974 and was replaced by Nelson Wilbury.

                              .
