Thank goodness for his legacy...We can happily carry on promoting love and peace! "Love is a flower...you gotta' let it...you gotta' let it....Grow!"

^^ Bruce, I feel the same way. I posted that video not to hurt anyone, but it was the reality of it all. So many people loved and still love John. I just thought it was touching and he looks so content on his sailboat. Also the quote was there. John will always be in my heart and everyone's heart who love him. His message of Truth, Peace and Love give us Hope for a better world to live in. "YES is surrender. You gotta let it...you gotta let it go!"

"A conspiracy of silence speaks louder than words." -John

One of my favorite quotes of his is: "If there is such a thing as a genius I am one, and if there isn't, I don't care." Now THAT's a Lennonism...LOVE it!

^^ love that one! "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." -John Lennon

"The Beatles were the biggest b**tard on Earth."
^^ yes, I just saw an interview the other week where he said it. This one I like as I believe the same: "I'm not afraid of death because I don't believe in it. It's just getting out of one car, and into another." - John A very moving video where John where he says this exact quote: God:
*i love to see John on his sailboat.I always liked that one about death. I think he put his best quotes in his songs. "Love is the answer, and you know that...for sure" still gets me.

At the end of, "I've Got A Feeling," the rooftop concert, John exclaims: "Oh my soul...it's so hard." Peace and Love!

Here's one that is always attributed to John but he never said this: "Ringo isn't the best drummer in the world. He isn't even the best drummer in the Beatles" It was said British comedian Jasper Carrott in 1983. Thanks to some research by Mark Lewisohn. See interview and article below http://articles.latimes.com/2013/dec/02/entertainment/la-et-ms-beatles-ringo-starr-biography-tune-in-mark-lewisohn-20131202 But he did say: Ringo's a damn good drummer, He was always a good drummer. Anthology P.81

Being honest may not get you a lot of friends, but it?ll always get you the right ones. ? John Lennon

Rolling Stone: ?Why can?t you be alone without Yoko?? John Lennon: ?I can be alone without Yoko, but I don?t wish to be. There is no reason on earth why I should be without her. There is nothing more important than our relationship, nothing. We dig being together all the time, and both of us could survive apart, but what for? I?m not going to sacrifice love, real love, for any fuckin? whore, or any friend, or any business, because in the end, you?re alone at night. Neither of us wants to be, and you can?t fill the bed with groupies. I don?t want to be a swinger. Like I said in the song, I?ve been through it all, and nothing works better than to have somebody you love hold you.? * I thought this was a very nice, sweet thing for John to say about Yoko.

Thanks for bringing this one up. That drives me crazy when people "quote" him on that "not even the best drummer" thing.

^^ true Steve. ?There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.? -John Lennon In His Own Write by John Lennon, First Edition 1964. * I love this quote as it has helped me.*

He's right, of course, but the more time I spend online, the more I think some people might want to think about loving themselves a little less.

We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it. John Lennon * you can't love someone and then not be around and expect it to work.*

There is a new book out with Beatles quotes. I think I read about it on the Beatles Examiner website, but deleted the email and can't find it. Will investigate more later.

There must be a few websites full of quotes.
