My tickets were sent today but for Hyde Park. About Glasgow, I received the same mail as JamieMilne. Fortunately, I have my booking for Revolver. I will see at least one gig in Glasgow. I had planned everything for my Scottish week-end except that I could receive the ticket too late.

hiya i've just phoned crowdsurge and they don't have the tickets YET!!!!! should have them by the end of the week and they'll be sent out by recorded delivery so we have them by middle of next week. They're cutting it a bit fine aren't they. I won't believe it till I have the tickets in my hands I think we should bombard them with calls till they're sick hearing from us Fingers crossed
Very bad new. Knowing the French post, I don't think I will receive my ticket before I leave

2 weeks today, so exciting! Who would be up for arranging a meet up on the sat before the revolver gig? There is a pub/restaurant in maggie mays above the club where revolver are playing. The food is good if anyone wanted to eat, and the music is always good. If people fancied it, I could check if we could book out an area so we could all sit together. Let me know asap so we can get a rough idea of numbers, then i could contact maggie mays to see if i can book. Also let me know what time suits. Doors for revolver opens at 8 i think.
Good idea. It's OK for me.

3 weeks ... I had a look on Crowdsurge's website but I didn't find how to track and trace the tickets. Is it possible to know if they have been sent through their website ? (I know : 2 weeks before the gig but sorry, I already begin to worry )

what is magie may? the cover band or the place where they are playing? i'm gonna make sure i'll be there.. thanks for the tip! as for the seats, i had seen the map but it's kinda hard to have a good idea just by looking at that map.. i think i'm gonna get the bb6 tho. i still can't believe this is actually hapenning. last time i was in london paul was playing in liverpool, but when i planned the trip the tickets were all sold out already... anyway, thanks!!
Maggie Mays is the place. The band is called Revolver. http://www.maggiemays.info/ to buy the tickets : www.ticketweb.co.uk. Maggie Mays should be the place to be on 19th.

stay out the irish bars then..you will find a pub that is 'union' friendly closer to the west end of glasgow. if i was you i would stay in the comfort and safety of my hotel if you want to support england in glasgow .
Is it really that bad?
I would think the England match will be shown in a fair few bars in Glasgow, as I'm sure the locals will be keen to support the opposing team when England are playing! I would suggest watching the match but NOT cheering for England - or get a train down across the border to England for the evening
It will be less dangerous for me than for the French who will see France - Uruguay in Dublin the day before McCartney's gig

Let's summarize : I have paid my ticket but I have not yet received it. I have paid my flight but I am not sure that the plane will fly. But despite everything I am happy and I am quite confident that I will spend a splendid time (guaranteed for all ). On Sunday 20th, I will be at Hampden Park, on Saturday 19th at Maggie Mays and I have a wish for Friday 18th. I am not sure if it is the good place to talk football but as England is playing vs Algeria, I would like to watch the match in a british atmosphere instead of watching it in my hotel. Does someone know a good place for that ?

"... I was worrying about my tickets. Martin, the moderator, checked it out. Tickets won't be sending to countries outside the UK. We have to collect our tickets at Hampden Park on June 20..." Which is not completely true. Depends on where you bought them. I got mine through Crowdsurge and they DO ship internationally. After I bought this tickets I decided I wanted a VIP package through Eventtravel, they do ship internationally as well.
I also bought my tickets though Crowdsurge and they ship by "western europe recorded letter". I remember the Liverpool Sound tickets would'nt be sent outside UK but finally I received them at home 1 month before the event.

" Well, it's not gonna be a 100% Scottish crowd anyway so don't worry So far I read posts from people from the US, France and Holland coming up. Are there more nationalities planning to go to the Hampden gig?
Most of the French will be in Dublin or Hyde Park, so don't worry, there won't be too much French in Glasgow I hope that Glasgow will be as Liverpool 2 years ago : it was wonderfull to eat a pizza with Brasilian fans or to discuss everywhere with people coming from all over the world. I also hope that the weather will be fine and that thousands of people will walk together from the center of the town to Hampden Park.

I think that Maggie Mays will be the fans' headquarters during 3 days. And the menu seems to be nice

Could you provide me details of Revolver, we love to go to that gig! Andy
Revolver is a Scottish tribute band. I saw them 2 weeks ago in the north of France. They sing Eleanor Rigby better than Paul and his band, their lead guitar is not ridiculous at all with While my guitar gently weeps and above all they play an uncredible Tomorrow never knows. I hope there will be enough places for everybody.

Gonna try to catch Revolver myself. They sid tickets would be available online 2 weeks ago but they're still not there. If anyone knows how to get a ticket up front, let me know. He's not gonna drop a song for Mull, he's gonna ADD Mull (I hope)
When Pauls sings Michelle in France it is always a bonus, he never drops any song. So I'm quite confident that Mull of Kintyre will be an additional song (if he sings it : ) Same for me about Revolver. I'm still waiting to buy my ticket on line.

I know that Anfield can receive 52063 people for football, but how many for a concert ?

hotel booked. Thanks to all for your very helpfull informations and quick answers. I have chosen one near the Central station. I don't worry because "too many people" will take the train to go to Hampden Park. In France it could be a nightmare but with the British discipline, I am quite confident that everything will go well. I knew that in Liverpool in 2008. When I saw the queue in the center of the town to take the special buses to go to Anfield, I thought that I would never arrive in time for the concert but in fact it didn' t take a long time. And in case of problem, "only" about 50 mn by foot. DCBeatle64, what did you think of the French queue to get your Olympia's tickets in Paris ?

I need your help. Is Hampden Park far from the center of Glasgow ? Can we go easily to the stadium and come back from the stadium the day of the concert ? Special bus that day ? Can we go to Hampden park by the subway ? I have found a map on the web but I cannot have any indications about the distances. I think I have understood that Hampden Park was in the south of the town. Is it right ? Thanks to provide all informations to find a well located hotel.

I don't care whether I sit or stand. If the sound and the crowd are as good as Liverpool Sound it will be just great.
Ticket and Ryanair booked for Glasgow Tickets also booked for Cardiff and Hyde Park. The Anfield's choirs were wonderfull in 2008 and now, as I already wrote on Cardiff's thread, I wonder where is the best audience : in Hampden Park or in the Millenium ? The answer in 3 months 1/2.
