RE: Billy Joel Concerts
BOYCIE:
I'm off to see Billy Joel at the Hamersmith Apollo in November it should be brilliant. I'm ecstatic as i have 5th row seats and i'm central so i'm a happy piano man.
Sounds cool. I also have tickets for the same gig. Hammersmith Apollo is a pretty good venue too from my experience, so looking forward to this.

^They are really good live. I saw them last summer and the energy and set-list was quite amazing. Small venue too - I was at the front and Rod smiled in my direction when he noticed a young one (relatively speaking) knew all the words. -- Since posting here last, I got tickets to see Billy Joel in November. I'm also going to see Skid Row and Ugly Kid Joe that same month as well.
Next up for me is this sunday, Happy Together Festival at Wolf Trap...The Turtles, Chuck Negron, Gary Pucket & The Union Gap, Mark Lindsay (The Raiders), Gary Lewis & The Playboys...I've been reading some pretty crappy reviews about the song choices and the sound balance...but I'll try and go in with good vibrations!
I didn't know The Turtles were still touring. Let us know how the Festival was.

RE: Why "Richard Corey" Song??
I really like this cover - and I'm not easily convinced when it comes to covers. I actually knew this before I'd ever heard the S&G original. Fun to play on the old acoustic as well.

Sometimes it seems like yesterday. Sometimes it doesn't. I was on the old wingspan board, then here. Left once, briefly, and came back under this fine name. Here's to 10 years.
Were you able post with lightning speed .... the way that board seemed to move and change? ..... Glad you are here and continue to read and post Happy 10 years
Thanks, same to you. Yeah, I posted a fair bit for a while... had time on my hands too, as I was a student. Lived in New Zealand at the time and put in some nightshifts. Those were the days.

RE: My first book (novel) - The General's Cafe
Thanks Don. It was certainly a worthwhile project and seems to have turned out all right. I'm still writing & recently have been working on a few short stories as well. Which writers do you like or influence you?

RE: My first book (novel) - The General's Cafe
This old experiment is turning into something real. I've had the invaluable advice of a writer I know, and now I'm almost done with my novel & looking into publishing it. Any other writers around, please check in and say hello. Cheers
