This is different! I think it has potential.
One question, can we still find a list of all of our posts? I didn't see that option anymore.
Thanks.

Next month I'm seeing someone called Macca in Liverpool.
Heard he's pretty good live.
It was an amazing night! Great set-list too.
You explained it so well, Unclesox. The speed of posts and discussion was more like a chat room at times; like conversations going on in real-time. That was pre-Facebook et al so, to me, it was quite interesting. Being a mod between 2004 - 2005 was also an experience, to say the least. I was a student and had some time on my hands. But - quite simply - starting to work full-time, I didn't think it was right to keep the 'mod' status and never be around throughout the day. Still I have made some friendships here too. As for Strawberry Fields, yep, that's around but on Facebook. It's a pleasant group and there's lots of music discusssion and polls going on there. I didn't initially join the SF forum proper as I thought some of the issues were, well, not something I wanted to get involved in. Sometimes I miss the old Maccaboard days, and friends who no longer post here much. Cheers.
Some good shows people are seeing. I was tempted by the Eagles, but couldn't make it in the end. I just got tickets to see Sean Lennon's GOASTT in September. I'm really liking the album, so should be a good show.
I joined in 2002 initially, because I wanted to talk about Macca and good music. It's been an interesting journey. I've made a couple of close real-life friends here and learned a lot about the 'online world' and dynamics, as it was the first message board I signed up on. I'd just finished Uni in 2002 and lots has happened since. Lots has also stayed the same, including my love of music. Cheers, VM
Certainly some unexpected results so far... I was expecting Spain and also Uruguay to do better than that. Italy played pretty well. Uruguay v England will be interesting now on Thursday.
Just saw Lit the other week and they were pretty good. I'll be back at the same venue in about three weeks' time to see The Stranglers.

Yes, still here. But no more predictions game. It made this thread quite active in 2006 but tbh it was quite a task to keep up with everyone's predictions and scores. But the thread does get bumped every four years at the very least. Actually, Oliver and I bump it up every September when the UEFA Champions League fantasy game begins and we'll occasionally comment on other things. Spain v Holland on Friday! The nerves are slowly creeping in as the hours and minutes tick down.
Hi unclesox - good stuff. Yeah, Spain v Holland is bound to be quite a game.
It's gone deeper but he still pulls off some good to great vocals. I think his voice already was changing a bit in the 90s; I noticed it on 'Off the Ground' (my second favourite Macca album btw, so it's not meant as a criticism). Cheers.

Electric Arguments. Full album. Awesome to do yoga to, as well as cardio.
Might try that when doing yoga. Thanks for the tip.
Ha nice thread. I do a lot of power-walking and also have been listening to the 'New' album a lot lately, as well as a few tracks off of 'Flowers in the dirt' (i.e. My brave face, This One), and also some off of 'Driving Rain' (Lonely Road, About You). Some Wings stuff is also great for exercising to. Mid-70s etc. Cheers.
