@njr Peter Rosenberg of the Michael Kay show stuck his uniformed cake hole into our hero Ringo. He said that Ringo was not a great drummer, without any knowledge nor perspective. He was subsequently corrected a bit by Michael, but still displayed his ignorance. Rosenbug stated that the Beatles would have been the Beatles with Pete Best. From my research, once George Martin said he wasn't good enough, John had Brian dump him quickly. Paul surely agreed or at least trusted Martin. Teamwork is the DreamWork, and Pete didn't cut da mustid, period. The Beatles driving sound with Ringo on the high hats was critical to the hysteria. No other drummer comes up with the beats to Ticket to Ride, Get Back, Come Together, etc. As bugs would say, "What a maroon!,"

RE: McCartney II returns to Billboard album charts
@yankeefan2 Back to the Egg is epic, such a great effort and diversity within a rock album. It was sadly the last Wings album so that type of arena rock is a closed chapter. Few artists put in such a production effort. Paul has a strong message about making songs that are not just good but that people want to hear - as opposed to incecit whining about one's mommy issues or struggles with success. Paul is quite the philosopher and his longevity speaks to it. Peace and Love.

@yankeefan2 Thanks for sharing. No malice insulting here, Yank fans supposed to be thick skinned! So, Jeter or Aroid? I still don't like our pitching, yet for this season.

RE: "All Things Must Pass" as a single album
@bruce-m My speculative take on ATMP is that there is strong material which still reflects his working with Paul and John. The tinny, uninspiring production by Phil Spector very much detracts from its greater potential although it was highly successful. George did not want the album to sound Beatle-ish due to his ego and short-sightedness. The bass and drums are not as melodic as our ears are used to. Many of George's Beatle songs have negative topics which may need why certain songs did not make the intended albums, such as It's Only A Northern Song, Not Guilty.

RE: Europe 2024
@no-values Goood day. I have viewed the YouTube video of Sir Paul in Mexico several times. The song mix is fascinating, including him singing John's For the Benefit of Mr Kite. He is such a powerful force of positivity. Sir Paul's voice is now of limited range, so you're not going to get his Little Richard howls of Long Tall Sally and Kansas City. We are just so spoiled by his greatness, that we simply need to accentuate the positives as Sir Paul continues to perform for us. Peace and Love.

RE: Paul McCartney Nabs Another No. 1 Hit, Ruling Atop a Pair of ‘Billboard’ Charts
@njr Thank you for the feedback. I do recall watching the Beatles cartoons, and likely hearing them on radios. My parents did not sit down to listen to music much. My uncle has always told me that Abbey Road is his favorite album, and he's not one to sit down to music. My dad did have a copy of the original Meet The Beatles and that Beatles A&M compilation that contained Uncle Albert, which I do not recall them playing much. I hung out at a Sam Goodies store in the mall and taught myself a bit about the lads. Peace and Love.
