@njr Peter Rosenberg of the Michael Kay show stuck his uniformed cake hole into our hero Ringo. He said that Ringo was not a great drummer, without any knowledge nor perspective. He was subsequently corrected a bit by Michael, but still displayed his ignorance. Rosenbug stated that the Beatles would have been the Beatles with Pete Best. From my research, once George Martin said he wasn't good enough, John had Brian dump him quickly. Paul surely agreed or at least trusted Martin. Teamwork is the DreamWork, and Pete didn't cut da mustid, period. The Beatles driving sound with Ringo on the high hats was critical to the hysteria. No other drummer comes up with the beats to Ticket to Ride, Get Back, Come Together, etc. As bugs would say, "What a maroon!,"

@yankeefan2 Hey, were buds again, yay. Agreed.

RE: McCartney II returns to Billboard album charts
@yankeefan2 Back to the Egg is epic, such a great effort and diversity within a rock album. It was sadly the last Wings album so that type of arena rock is a closed chapter. Few artists put in such a production effort. Paul has a strong message about making songs that are not just good but that people want to hear - as opposed to incecit whining about one's mommy issues or struggles with success. Paul is quite the philosopher and his longevity speaks to it. Peace and Love.

@yankeefan2 Thanks for sharing. No malice insulting here, Yank fans supposed to be thick skinned! So, Jeter or Aroid? I still don't like our pitching, yet for this season.

RE: "All Things Must Pass" as a single album
@bruce-m My speculative take on ATMP is that there is strong material which still reflects his working with Paul and John. The tinny, uninspiring production by Phil Spector very much detracts from its greater potential although it was highly successful. George did not want the album to sound Beatle-ish due to his ego and short-sightedness. The bass and drums are not as melodic as our ears are used to. Many of George's Beatle songs have negative topics which may need why certain songs did not make the intended albums, such as It's Only A Northern Song, Not Guilty.

RE: Europe 2024
@no-values Goood day. I have viewed the YouTube video of Sir Paul in Mexico several times. The song mix is fascinating, including him singing John's For the Benefit of Mr Kite. He is such a powerful force of positivity. Sir Paul's voice is now of limited range, so you're not going to get his Little Richard howls of Long Tall Sally and Kansas City. We are just so spoiled by his greatness, that we simply need to accentuate the positives as Sir Paul continues to perform for us. Peace and Love.

RE: Paul McCartney Nabs Another No. 1 Hit, Ruling Atop a Pair of ‘Billboard’ Charts
@njr Thank you for the feedback. I do recall watching the Beatles cartoons, and likely hearing them on radios. My parents did not sit down to listen to music much. My uncle has always told me that Abbey Road is his favorite album, and he's not one to sit down to music. My dad did have a copy of the original Meet The Beatles and that Beatles A&M compilation that contained Uncle Albert, which I do not recall them playing much. I hung out at a Sam Goodies store in the mall and taught myself a bit about the lads. Peace and Love.

RE: Auntie Jin
@njr Thank you for the feedback. Religion and spirituality are not the same. Sir Paul has always had a high respect for Jews, including his successful marriages, Brian Epstein, his girlfriend Frannie that apparently busted up his relationship with Jane Asher. Of course, Alan Klein and Phil Spector were narcissistic aholes. I know nothing and therefore I speculate, which is all Sir Paul wants his fans to do in a positive energy manner. Peace and Love.

RE: McCartney II returns to Billboard album charts
@njr Good day 2, I ashumed that a NY Yankee fan is familiar with the term, fugazy. Without googling, it refers to a fake. Where are you from, it appears you are not a NYer. I believe that Fugazy was an Italian who due to his help with Jews brutalized by Hitler's regime, the term Fugazy Jew was associated with him. In any case 2, I am fascinated with what Sir Paul had done circa 1980. The last Wings roster was actually my favorite. Back to the Egg is a tremendous album and underrated. After touring with them, culminating with the Concert for Kampuchia, he had enough and disbanded Wings for II and Tug of War. Such a talented man. Those last Wings shows, still hanging out there by Sir Paul for possible issue, are high quality bootlegs and amazing. That tour enabled Sir Paul to perform a few more tunes from the McCartney (I) album, coming full circle post Beatles. The live Coming Up recording is from that tour, played live as an unreleased new song as Sir Paul had told the audience. I had viewed an interview that Sir Paul had stated that John had heard the II studio version in a car radio and loved it and inspired him to record his album. Such amazing talent for so many years, so many wonderful gifts for us. I do not need to be correct, but as we all know, Beatles stories have Octopus' tentacles. Peace and Love.

RE: The Meaning Behind “Live and Let Die” by Paul McCartney & Wings
@jimmix As a NYC resident, Live and Let Die was the convergence of several awesome items: Sir Paul, a smoking young Jane Seymore, and Bond kicking butt in Harlem. A great plot, and my favorite Bond movie although I'm a Shawn Connery fan. Peace and love.

RE: Ten bands that should retire...guess who is on the list
@yankeefan2 The Stones new album is a masterpiece. They covered much of their previous ground sounds with that old sincerity. Sir Paul kills it with hiss fuzz base and presence. There's not a band around who can make such a mature and satusfying album. Question for my new pal yankeefan2: Jeter or Aroid?

RE: Paul McCartney Nabs Another No. 1 Hit, Ruling Atop a Pair of ‘Billboard’ Charts
@jimmix I was eleven years old when Band on the Run exploded onto the world. I cannot recall a more well received and played song, as I was not music savy as a yute in the 60s. Its as good as any song I've heard. Peace and Love.

RE: Auntie Jin
@njr After hearing Let Em In on the Beatkes channel recently, it occurred to me that an additional meaning may be that "Open the door and let em in" can refer to the faithful who are waiting for the messiah to come. Never underestimate Sir Paul.

RE: McCartney II returns to Billboard album charts
@yankeefan2 II is actually similar to most Beatles and Paul's post Beatle insane career. It has a bit of everything, something for everyone, except for this fugazy yankeefan2. If any other artist had produced Waterfalls, it would have been a numberv1 hit. In fact, it was blatantly copied by TLC and Sir Paul is too classy and too happy and busy to use negative energy, perhaps he is honored by that gutless effort. I had also read that John Lennon loved the studio version of Coming Up that it inspired him to make his last album. I also rather not throw hateraid on yankeefan2, but I'm guessing he/she/binary is also a fugazy Yankees fan, cause I'm a fan of both. Peace and Love 2, de-stress and revisit II.

RE: Ramones Biopic Caught In Crossfire of Heirs’ Clash In Court
@jimmix The Ramones of Queens NY had never covered a Beatles song. I found that quite respectful, keeping the two worlds apart. CGBGs made the Cavern Club look like a palace, it was a real shitehole. Twist and Shout v. Durango 95. Of course The Ramones self titled first album was modeled after With The Beatles with side one relying more on baseline and side 2 on the gits.

Peace, love and stop the wars
I am hoping that Sir Paul and Ringo craft a message to the political executives of the US, Russia, and all others to stop the war mongering that appears to looking like the past. The US got out of the war business before the current administration, of which Sir Paul was critical of. Therefore it is only just that our hero Sir Paul speaks to the warring of the current administration. Peace and love.
