That's the new Paul's direction: having no direction. And it's okay, is not a critic. Is the best thing he can do.

RE: Wings 7th Most popular 1970s act
It has sense. Except 'Wild Life' and 'Back To The Egg', the others albums put a number one in the lists ('My Love', 'Band On The Run', 'Listen What The Man Said', 'Silly Love Songs' and 'With A Little Luck'). Plus 'Jet' (#7 in USA), 'Rock Show' (#20), 'Helen Wheels' (#10), 'Junior's Farm' (#3), 'Sally G' (#17), Live & Let Die (#2), 'Let'Em In' (#3 in USA and UK), 'Mull Of Kintyre' (#1 in UK)... there are not many band with that amount of hits.

So which song that Paul wrote do we think is most representative of the 80s ?
Ebony and Ivory, Say Say Say and My Brave Face!! But they are not my favorites. I prefer So Bad, Wanderlust and Somebody Who Cares.
I'm thinking 'No More Lonely Nights" is his best 80's representation. Perhaps his last biggest charter. Say, Say, Say of course, and Ebony and Ivory, which despite the knocks, I quite like..... a lot... better songs in the mix, but they will be the ones that step out of the 80's more than others. Doesn't mean they are my definitive faves, but they are the ones, I think, that he will be remembered for from that period... I still think his 80's output is underrated.... A lot of stuff I love from this period. Always brings back good memories.
Although 'Ebony & Ivory' is one of his must successful songs, I don't really like it. Just like Peter Ames Carlin says in his Paul's biography 'it begins like a peace song but finally, it goes nowhere'. Anyway, is a good song. I have to admit, I totally forgot 'No more lonely nights'!!! I can't believe it so, NMLN goes in and 'My brave face' goes out. There you have, IMO, the three most representative songs: NMLN, 'Say Say Say' and 'Ebony and Ivory'.

Well, his official page in Facebook and Twitter is promoting "Hope for a future" a lot. Maybe will be a soundtrack.
There is already a separate soundtrack for "Destiny" that has McCartney's name as one of the composers. He may or may not be referring to something else. A friend told me that thought it might be Rupert.
Rupert?

RE: Movement for a collaboration with David Bowie
Great artist make great music. Bowie's last LP is great, he is in a great artistic moment. The same for Paul.
-
RE: Why did John dominate the Hard Day's Night album?
IMO, Paul began his big time as a composer in 1966. Before that, he was a great artist but John was in a better moment. John declines a little in Revolver, and Paul's figure grows a lot.

Isn't there a bad luck superstition with Bowie?
Well, with a little luck we can help it out!!

RE: THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL
I don't know why we use to talk about LP's combinations... I think the real question is why Paul did his albums the way the did. ...and when I make myself this question, I don't have an answer about SOS. Is difficult to find an explanation about that album. If a man can make songs like 'Silly love songs', 'Let'Em in' and 'Beware my love' it means he is in a big inspirational moment. So... why did he decide to give more space to the band? Imagine a SOS with those six Paul's songs (although I wouldn't mind if we exclude 'She's my baby'... hate that song), plus 'Time to hide' and 3 or 4 more songs from Paul. We could be talking about a real pop masterpiece album.

RE: HEART
The version of 'Stairway to heaven' is incredible. It made Robert Plant cry!!! and when Jimmy was in 'i-dont-remember-the-name Show" he said it was the best version he ever heard!

Curiously, 'Medicine Jar' is one of my favorite Wings's songs
I always liked it!
It's a 'weird' song. I mean, it sounds different than the others. The sound is more clean and strong.
