well, we could probbaly guess "too Many People" will be added back to the setlist.. it's so cool LIVE! It's a Great album period...
If ANYthing new gets added in, I'll be happy.

Too Many People was always one of my favorite Wings songs period. It's a bit more poppy then most of the others from the album, but damn, it's pop at some of it's best. Though it is a bit of a dated song knowing what it's about...

I'm a little worried, the price is going up on the deluxe edition. I'm actually having second thoughts. IMO 5 Discs with very little on them is not worth $113. At $75, I'm not complaining, but...

Wait, it went UP? What the heck? It's supposed to be coming down... I didn't want to pay $100 for those 5 discs, now I'm going to be paying more?

Too Many People ... pre-ordering this thing. I pre-ordered at the $100 rate but sheesh, I expected the price to drop. It's still at No. 64. I doubt a lot of people are going to buy it at that price. Are they? I think $75 or $80 is what I was expecting for this one.

Amazon.co.uk has the box set listed for an eye-watering £103.99 ! It also lists "number of discs" as 1 !!! Certainly not ordering that just yet!

I can't understand people getting so excited about this - it is very disappointing and the DVD footage is pitifully small. Great album, but not enough new stuff to temp me
As for me, the Ram deluxe set has what I was hoping it would have -- not everything, but close enough! I'm not all that obsessive about demos because, frankly, I don't find I listen to them more than a few times. Besides, I think he's saving up the demos for a box set of demos and B sides, which could be very cool. But I will listen to the main CD, the mono version and the Thrillington version countless times. So yes, I'm VERY psyched.
Just wondering here if you have had all of these albums before...like Thrillington?
Thrillington will be new to me - sort of (I have 5 tracks from that set that I burned on to cds a few years ago that I found online, and have occasionally dove into Youtube to hear the rest)

Are some of the tracks actually noticeably different on the mono album or is it just a case of them being mono instead of being stereo?
I've never heard it myself, but I heard that some tracks have longer endings. Long Haired Lady and Monkberry Moon Delight have the most noticeable differences.
Here's the mono version of Backseat of My Car:

Well the Deluxe version of Ram is STILL $113 on Amazon. It's now ranked at No. 131 on the Amazon list. I wonder how much further it has to drop before they lower the freaking price.
-
Its up at £103 on the UK amazon site. Which is £40/50 more than the other deluxe editions. I'm not paying that under any circumstance. Even if I have to wait until a few months after the release date.
-
Why are they so pricey. When you can get a basic cd for £5.99.Wouldnt they make more money by reducing the price, thus selling more.I could only stretch for a deluxe(2 cd)version
-
Sorry but they can stick it, hell this could be about the fourth time a fan has bought these albums / Cd's. Times are hard & who can justify spending that much on an item that as ive said, you have already purchased many times before !!?? If I buy any version it will be the third time ive bought Ram...Album in 85, then CD in 88 ( gave the 93 Cd a miss ) and now if I bother, push the mega deluxe issue out at £40 & I might take the bait....I wont hold my breath.

For me, $75-80 would be a fair price for the deluxe edition, $10 for the standard version and $13 for the special edition of Ram. For the deluxe edition, I think it's reasonable to charge $10 a piece for each of the 4 CDs and the DVD. So that's $50. And the book -- if it's the same high quality as the others -- is something I'd pay $25-$30 for. For a grand total of $75-$80. It's just that $100 or $113 sounds WAY too high. But then, MPL and Concord are obviously not concerned with racking up big sales of these reissues. Otherwise WHY would they keep charging so much for the McCartney and McCartney II reissues, which are now priced on Amazon at $15 and $16, respectively? No one pays that much for CDs anymore. Both of those CDs should now be priced at $10 or $12. I really don't get the pricing of these reissues at all. That said, I have been able to get all 3 of the previous deluxe issues for around $50 or $60 (if I'm remembering correctly). They DID come down in price -- especially once Topspin started offering pre-order deals on Paul's Web site, and then Amazon responded by lowering its prices to compete. So we'll see.

It's not that they want to make money of you, really, it's the market price, if you look at all the other bands deluxe sets, Paul's seems to be reasonable, the Deluxe set is like a complete Ram info/data. all you can get about the album, and it's a unique one as it is both Paul and Linda's, so it is really special, and the vinyls are really worth it, remastering is really great especially with the bonus material sounding so good on vinyl, and having it in mono too is a plus, if you can afford it, they are worth it, I am saving for them now, giving up on other stuff , but as a Paul's true fan I am getting them, the Deluxe and the two vinyls, I think Paul is kind to his fans, otherwise, why bother with the reissues to begin with, not that he needs the money, and there's the standard CD and the downloads, so the album is available to all. I have the previous versions too, but it's great to have the new ones too, don't you buy more than one pair of shoes, each for it's different look, even though they all serve the same purpose ?
