Please keep former Wings guitarist Henry McCullough in your thoughts as he recently suffered a heart attack and is in intensive care. Get well soon, Henry! You're in this Wings fan's thoughts and prayers.
Reminds me that young Jimmy McCullough of Wings died so young....drug overdose????

I've got a personal story about Henry McCullough... As some of you may or may not know he was in the audience at Paul's show in Dublin 2009. My sister was queueing at a different door than me to get into the show and she was standing behind a man who just appeared to be anonymously queueing like everybody else, curiously though he and his wife were ladened down with gifts wrapped in Christmas paper. After queueing for about half an hour a security guard approaches the man to inform him he's in the wrong place and off he goes. My sister and the concert goers around her never gave it a second thought. Skip forward a few hours and Paul is about to play My Love, he says he wants to give a shout out to somebody in the audience...Henry McCullough and the camera shows him on the big screen, leading to my sister yelling "that's the man from the queue" I thought that story showed a few things - none of the fans recognised an important member of Wings (and I can't say I would have recognised him!), was a brilliant moment when he stood up and got one of the biggest cheers of the night, and how typical of good old Irish kindness that they brought gifts after presumably not seeing Paul for a long time. McCullough told Ireland's Independent prior to meeting McCartney backstage, per his invitation, before the show, "It's been 36 years and both myself and Paul have tramped a few roads since then, but it will be great to see him again. I want to shake Paul's hand and give him a hug. This meeting is something that has to be done and what better place to do it than in Ireland." Hope he gets better soon!

I will, and I played MY LOVE yesterday when I read about Henry's heart attack. I love that video. Beautiful guitar. They all look like they are having such a great time.

Most classic ballad guitar-solo ever. He'll always be remembered for that solo. He was also one of the voices heard talking on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." Get well, Henry.

I have been wondering how Henry has been doing. I even googled it a few times to see with no new information. That is indeed sad news. I am praying for Henry and his friends and family. My Dad died of a heart attack when he was 45 years old. Even though a doctor was right there playing tennis with him when he had the attack there was nothing they could do. The lack of oxygen was a reason why they quit the cpr after awhile. From experience of losing my Dad I really feel in my heart what Henry's family is going through and will continue to pray. I am so sorry. Love & Prayers...

I sent a personal message to Denny Seiwell via fb last Friday and after a couple of days he replied with the sad news of Henry's condition. I sent him and Henry's family my best wishes.

I'm sad to read on that homepage that he's suffering "permanent damage." Is the benefit to assist with medical expenses? Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with any of the acts performing, but it's it's nice to see such a long list of artists participating.
