Absolutely loved it. Great form and who knew mcCartney could lead Nirvana - lol. Like the set was not Beatle heavy, kudos to McCartney. from one who gives him a hard time about setlist. BTW - personally know one of the fireman from Breezy that were honored tonight at concert. Marty (the oldest guy of the five) is the husband of a good friend and former co-worker of mywife.

If people berate Paul after this performance, I'm gonna lose my s**t. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! I'm dying over the jeans. Fangirling all over the place.
-
HE WAS GREAT!!!! Absolutely AMAZING the whole way through!! This dispelled any doubt in my mind of his performing ability... He was DEAD ON tonight!
-
Jaw..meet floor. Paul KILLED it tonight on the vocals!! And with Nirvana!! And TEARING UP his hard rockers--WOW!!! That was St. Louis-caliber work from him, and that show in November was the best show I've ever seen him do...oh, Macca, you just amaze me!! If that doesn't inspire people to give to the victims of Sandy, I don't know what will. <3<3<3
-
Whatever Paul was on tonight, order a supply for him from now until the end of the decade!

If the world really ends next week, I can die happy.

See, rose-tinted crowd, we are calling it out when there is reason to be critical, but above sentiments are which can also happen after a mindblowing McCartney-related event like this .

Paul is going to play a 45 minute set. With 3 minutes a song, he could play 15 songs!
Not going to happen. At roughly a quarter the length of his regular show, expect 8-9 songs. "Hey Jude" (7 minutes +/- will be one). Let us hope Paul doesn't take the opportunity to "workshop" a new tune. We all remember the nightmare that was "Freedom".
Out of all the new songs that night (Concert For New York City), "Freedom" was the one that went over very, very well with the crowd, by far! That performance's popularity is why the track ended up on the album. "Nightmare?" I don't think so. With that said: If I had a time-machine, I'd revise the Concert For NYC setlist: -"Rinse The Raindrops" (re-arranged for live performance) -"I'm Down" -"Your Loving Flame" -"Live & Let Die" -"Freedom"
Haha, um... 'Live And Let Die' might not have been the most appropriate song to perform at that time.
Good point.
Revised: -"Rinse The Raindrops" -"I'm Down" -"Your Loving Flame" -"The Humpty Dance" -"Freedom"
With 45 minutes, he's going to get to play more than 5 songs. And I am going to be the first to say it... I do not think we will hear Hey Jude
I might have been wrong about Wonderful Christmastime, But I got that part right.

Wonderful to see my favourite Muppet in full flight with Paul. Dave was grinning from ear to ear throughout - he just loves performing with Paul: Martin

Paul was the highlight of the concert. I agree that his vocals are as strong as they've been in a few years. I was at St. Louis, and they were flippin' phenomenal there, and this was just as good. Like many, I am now itching for new material next year...and perhaps the Nirvana collaboration is a sign Paul may get some new rock material out next year. Very psyched!

AWESOME performance by Paul tonight! Not sure if anyone posted this yet? Dave Grohl & Krist Novoselic on Playing With Paul McCartney "12-12-12"
