...who'd of ever dreamed we'd be complaining about Mrs. Vandebilt being in the set too long?!?
Although I'm all for keeping "Mrs. Vandebilt" in the show, I definitely get your point. It's gratifying that such an obscure song has been a five-year highlight of Paul's tours.
For the record...I did not say that...Wix did.
Quote amended.

I think all of the BOTR additions have been coincidental to the remasters release. He has ALWAYS liked the album & it did get great reviews. But now some of the songs have been around too long!
Honestly, the only one I'm tired of is Mrs. Vandebilt. It lost its flare in St. Louis for me. Of course, that was the fifth time I've heard it but...who'd of ever dreamed we'd be complaining about Mrs. Vandebilt being in the set too long?!?
Haha, so true!

Hey Audi, what's this rumour about a "gigantic" Paul tour this year?
-
it'd better be minty fresh!

I may be wrong, but I thought Paul was finished with those kind of tours, ie 30 city swings. All indications are that is true, as he seems to do 10 or 12 shows at a time, with months off in between. 2013 may prove to be different.

He has 1/2 custody of Bea, so I'm not sure how he'd swing a major tour like that. I think that RMartinez's idea is what I'm expecting out of Paul for this new tour. I can't picture how his voice would sound if he did a major tour like the 2005 version!
-
I think he's gonna drop a new rock album in the Spring, and surprise us all with a new tour and even more places he hasn't played yet. That's just my guess.
-
I honestly cant see Paul setting out ona huge months on end type of tour i'd be surprised if and when he does tour its anything but what we've seen in the recent past a small number of dates then a break for a month or two.

I agree. And am ok with that. The man can tour however and when ever and where ever he wants!

Here's what I think is reasonable: MAY-- NORTH AMERICA-- 15 SHOWS JULY-- EUROPE-- 15 Shows OCTOBER-- SOUTH AMERICA-- 10 SHOWS NOVEMBER-- AUSTRALASIA-- 8 SHOWS DECEMBER-- UK HOMECOMING GIGS-- RAH, MANCHESTER APOLLO, O2 LIVERPOOL FEBRUARY-- NORTH AMERICA-- 9 SHOWS TOTAL: 60 SHOWS Not too much, but I think Paul could easily pull this off.

Um...Yeah. Sure. Right.
I think that is very realistic. We've got absolutely nothing to work with, and it certainly isn't too many shows. What's the problem RMartinez?

Reality, that's what. Hey, if you want to be optimistic, go for it! But when was the last time McCartney embarked on something like this? I'm just going with what he has been doing for the last five years or so. Do you know something that would change all this?
-
No news on a new studio album yet then?
