Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours
-
A touring schedule like that is never going to happen. First of all, I doubt his voice would hold up. Most importantly, I like to think he wouldn't abandon Beatrice like that. The mini tours are enough. Plus, since he only tours for a week at a time I doubt he will tour Asia and Oceania ever again. He would only be able to do 2 or 3 shows before having to fly back to the UK and I doubt it's worth it, sadly.

I do hope he dose tour back in liverpool

Here's what I think is reasonable: MAY-- NORTH AMERICA-- 15 SHOWS JULY-- EUROPE-- 15 Shows OCTOBER-- SOUTH AMERICA-- 10 SHOWS NOVEMBER-- AUSTRALASIA-- 8 SHOWS DECEMBER-- UK HOMECOMING GIGS-- RAH, MANCHESTER APOLLO, O2 LIVERPOOL FEBRUARY-- NORTH AMERICA-- 9 SHOWS TOTAL: 60 SHOWS Not too much, but I think Paul could easily pull this off.
Um...Yeah. Sure. Right.
I think that is very realistic. We've got absolutely nothing to work with, and it certainly isn't too many shows. What's the problem RMartinez?
Reality, that's what. Hey, if you want to be optimistic, go for it! But when was the last time McCartney embarked on something like this? I'm just going with what he has been doing for the last five years or so. Do you know something that would change all this?
60 shows isn't reasonable? 2009- 24 Shows 2010- 35 Shows 2011- 25 Shows 2012- 22 Shows It's just under double his average. There's people older than Paul that tour MUCH more than he does annually and don't sound terribly worse than him.

Ok, Wix, if you say so! Remember, those folks you mention don't do 2.5 to 3 hour long shows either.

I'd love to see Paul do this man shows, but and i base this only on the last couple of years i dont think itll be this many..if i was going to pick a number i'd say the absolute tops would be around the 40-45 mark. Could be wrong but i'll say it again i just dont see a "massive" toru happening i think we've seen the last of that frankly and for any number of reasons too not just his age.

While it wasn't really "The Beach Boys" in my eyes, I did see Mike Love and Bruce Johnston's touring version of the band prior to the 50th reunion and they played for 3 hours outside in 110 degree weather, hottest day of the year in Baltimore 2010. I'm very annoyed at them both for resuming this format post-50th reunion BUT, they do put ona good show...it would just be a GREAT one with the other guys!

Ok. If you think Paul is going to do that, great!

Sixty+ shows does seem like a herculean task for Paul, compared to what he's been doing these past few years (which is fine with me), but -- as harleyblues has heard via that proverbial grapevine -- a much more extensive tour is in the works for 2013. We shall see...
-
No way he will do 60 shows in one calendar year anymore. Last time he did that many in one year was in 1993. The 2002 tour had 55 shows from April to November. Every tour since then has had less shows.
-
Any idea what month the U.S. Shows might be? I hope it's after June so I can save up enough money...

Unfortunately, there hasn't been a word on anything at all in 2013. The rumor mill seems to be bone dry at the moment!
-
It is very, very dry rumour wise at the moment wouldn't it be awful though if he didnt tour this year

That combination of words is not computable in my vocabulary.

Hey Wixrocks, you didn't happen to be 8th row section C in St Louis? Met someone who went to a lot of the shows in your sig.

I got the shakes typing that sentence to be honest with you

let's not write off 2013 in January I think once we get confirmation on a release date for the new CD, then we'll get some new dates. i hope
-
Of course he'll tour. It's in his blood. He has the compulsion to. A new album also needs promotion. He won't just not bother.

or will he just do interviews? (I mean for the album.) Yes, he will do some gigs...not sure about a "tour".

I don't think there will be a big tour as well gigs yes but a full scale tour no i don't see it and lets be fair he didn't do much touring with Kisses did he? i know its not the usual album to take on tour but maybe a few ideas where gleaned from the promotion side of it
