Love Me Do 50th Anniversary 45 7" vinyl single. The Beatles Complete Recording Sessions book by Mark Lewisohn in Like New condition.
WHEW!!! Nice Randy, nice! sweet 45 there. I've got a source stock piling Beatles 45's on Capitol for me as I type this, just need to get over there to pick them up. What label is that Love Me Do on, Parlaphone? Decca?
Parlophone, and the label says "recording first published 1962", with a copyright 2012! Interesting too that both songs (B-side is P.S. I Love You) say MPL Communications Ltd. and not Northern Songs ATV/Sony. Apparently Paul now owns these two Beatles songs at least.

WHEW!!! Nice Randy, nice! sweet 45 there. I've got a source stock piling Beatles 45's on Capitol for me as I type this, just need to get over there to pick them up. What label is that Love Me Do on, Parlaphone? Decca?
So as chance would have it I picked up 6 Beatles 45s on Weds, one of which was the Love Me Do/PS I Love You 45 on Tollie Records. Original press beats your reissue Randy
Personally I would love to have an original "Love me do" on Tollie. I guess from your closing that you're aware that the 3 month old anniversay edition is sellling for $40 on ebay and the 50 years old Tollie one is selling for $30.
Yeah man, I'm all about the originals. Cool thing is on the Tollie 45 the credits read 'McCartney / Lennon'. I also picked up the Do You Want To Know A Secret / Thank You Girl 45 on VJ Records, also credited McCartney / Lennon. The 3rd really old school one I bought was the She Loves You / I'll Get You 45 on the Swan label. that one is credited Lennon / McCartney. I actually paid $15 for those 3, along with the Nowhere Man/What Goes On and Day Tripper / We Can Work It Out on Capitol (Yellow and Orange yin yang label), and the Come Together / Something 45 on Apple! Great price huh? I have a vinyl hook up like you wouldn't believe. A personal friend who owns an online business (Cheap Kiss Records). I live really close to their warehouse and they hook me up with unbelievable deals on vinyl. However part of the reason they were so cheap is none of them have the original sleeves, just plain white sleeves.. The Come Together did have the black Apple sleeve.. but I'm still thrilled to have them all in the collection. all the vinyl is in great shape.
Very nice you were able to get those, Kapoo! I also have collected several of the original single releases on Capitol and Apple over the years. Here's to Vinyl!

Here's to vinyl indeed! Cheers Randy, I was only joking around by my competitive remark about my Love Me Do one upping yours would love to have/hear the one you have as well, prob sounds really nice. Any Beatles vinyl you're able to get your hands on is sweet these days. And that is interesting about the MPL label, good sign at least some of the music is returning to the rightful owner

The songs never "returned" to John & Paul because they never actually left! They were published by Ardmore & Beechwood, not Dick James Publishing/Northern Songs, so were not part of the sale that eventually ended up with Michael Jackson & Sony. Paul had to buy the songs from A&B so that's how they ended up being MPL Publishing. http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ardmore-beechwood-ltd-publishers-275312168 And of course the name D i c k was censored!

My son got me these tiny Beatles Yellow Submarine figures that come with instruments (says for ages 5+!!) My ex (kids' dad) got me the DVD & booklet of pics of How I Won the War and also the book The Beatles In Their Own Write which talks about the genesis of all their songs.

Ah very interesting Nancy, thanks for that info! But take it easy with the profanity. You know, Dick James etc we're real potty mouths over here. Here lets conduct a test: Schlong James Taliwagger James Cock James Pecker James Wang James Purple-headed warrior James The only one edited is the one that's the actual name freaking classic. Penis James? Yep, that's all good as well but that whole 'D'... Whoa don't even think about it

I just finished listening to mine today and I LOVED IT! No complaints here, honestly. It was SO worth it, I'm so thankful

I got an I "heart" The Beatles baseball T shirt for Christmas. I also got a desk plaque type thing that reads " I Get by with a Little Help From My FRIENDS". My mother in law bought it for me from Hallmark, the tag said "the words of Lennon & McCartney". I don't know if it's a series or not, I will have to stop by Hallmark to check. My son got a set of Beatles minifigures. (Similar to Lego minis but not the Lego brand.) Oh, I got a Beatles 2013 calendar too.
