Thanks for the article. Maybe we'll hear a couple of new songs (for the first time anywhere in the world) at the concerts in April?...
It's possible. If word-on-the-street is correct that the new album won't be out until November (oy vey!), then he might preview a song or two. He previewed "Follow Me" at Glastonbury, 2004, which was at least a year before Chaos & Creation In The Back Yard was released.
What street did you hear that on? Good historical catch re "Follow Me."
It's on The McCartney Years DVD:

pssst...I think he meant your 'word on the street' comment.

Yep, but still good to know. I was guessing it would be released around June.
-
Looks like the album isnt finished yet so maybe an autumn release maybe?

Yeah, if he wraps it up within a month a June release is still plausible, but by the look of things it's going to be September, with 'Wings Over America' and 'Rock Show' out in June.

It'd make sense if he finishes the album first and then tours afterwards... otherwise he's going to be doing the same old show... again... and touring would just delay him finishing off the album. I don't know.... I'm just kind of REALLY ITCHING for a Macca concert!!! Waiting so long is killing me! The fans who were going to attend the 'postponed' (more like cancelled!!) Horsens dates are probably feeling the same way, too.

Me too!

Well, Brian is in the throes of promoting his own CD and music at the moment, so he certainly isn't over recording the new CD with Paul. Maybe Paul is playing all the instruments again.
-
I don't think we're going to hear anything from Paul until early March....probably announce these South American dates for May.

Wrong.

In May 2011, I spoke to Rusty and he told me he was recording new music with Paul, so maybe the record just need the finishing production touches and most of the stuff is already recorded.

The new record in is the works since 2009, and still in the phase of recording new stuff as of this week.

I hope it is as good as Chaos!

It hasn't even been a year since you've seen him! I haven't seen him for almost 11 years!!

I understand. Paul should go to the places he hasn't in years. There are whole continents dying to see him and haven't in decades. This is why he should really go to these places and make up to Denmark before he considers going to the same places again. There are people on here like you who haven't seen Paul in too long, and others who have seen Paul 12 times within 2 years! There's too much of the world and not enough of Paul to go around.

I think what people do not understand is that Paul does not pick the places he plays, the promoters and the markets decide that. He cancelled some Australian dates in '03 or '04 and he never went back. If the market is soft or soft for him he may not play there even if he wants to. Touring is complicated. Deals have to be made for every city and venue. Horsens may not want him or be able to afford him. It's simple economics and his concerts are a huge and complex deal. It's not just him and a guitar showing up. It's him and 200 other people in a gigantic expense of planes and trucks and cars and hotels, etc, and it takes months to put these tours together. McCartney on Tour is a business, not just a person. Perspective.
