Yeah, I hope an announcement comes on Monday for some US dates!!
Maybe he'll announce the shows next year. Time to start posting in the 2014 rumors thread.
Sorry, but his people are being a bunch of a-holes. We have U.S. shows in May and they are going to announce the shows in April. Sure, charge $20 a ticket and we can get by with that little notice.

It really is inconsiderate. I wonder if they're worried about the demand and do it for marketing purposes? They shouldn't, he'll sell out no matter what, over here at least. But, it's kind of what I expect by now, unfortunately... :

I'd be suspicious of anybody posting tickets with seat numbers at this point. We all know it hasn't been announced and ticket sales have not started. Lots of fakes out there. As far as dropping things so close, I think they know by now..especially in the U.S. and even South America that th demand is so high to see him that sales are not a problem..A month and a half away should be easy since he has into the third week in May until the first U.S. show. I agree, it does suck but it also makes things tough for scalpers to monopolize the good seats as well Next week should be very nerve wracking!!

Good thing I'm on break!

I think they put an end to the scaplers by just charging scalper prices for the good seats: $2,000; $1,500; $650. I bought a second row seat in 2005 and the very end of the row for $500, then resold it for what I paid cause I already had a floor seat that I couldn't sell. I wish I knew when to plan my trip to Indiana.

For me, it's not the money so much as the time frame! I can't get time off work with that little notice!!
-

I'd be shocked if the announcement is Monday. Easter Monday not gonna happen, I'd say Tuesday-Wednesday for an announcement.

Lonely Road, I just saw that you have San Francisco in your tag...what is Outside Lands, and will Paul be playing there? I haven't seen any announcements for 'Frisco! If he's gonna be there...I wanna be there!!!!

I heard that the Stones are going to announce their US dates in 5 days, so if Paul doesn't want to get overshadowed by that news ( it will be a big deal), then he will announce at least the May shows before that. I don't expect we will get the entire tour schedule, tho.
-
Well, obviously today wasn't the day for an announcement. I'm guessing Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of next week.
-
I think it's beyond speculation. If tickets are going on sale within the same week as the announcement, it HAS to happen Monday or Tuesday...Wednesday at the VERY latest. And yes, I think it is guarenteed that we will only have the May/June shows announced. I'm assuming they are one of two legs. Of course, that's only 5 shows approx. speaking/guessing, and we already know the first city is getting two shows. My guess would be, NYC. and who gives a rat's ass about the rolling stones? :

and who gives a rat's ass about the rolling stones? :
Why don't you like the Stones?

This is not the place for that particular discussion.

I think the Stones are great! Whatever people here think, they are a huge act and their tour is going to be a big deal. But my main concern is the McCartney tour dates!
-
Not sure what goes into the decision of when to announce ticket sales and dates but it does always seem that the dates are usually soft dates (meaning they sometimes change for whatever reason) I don't know if they try to build up the excitement or what but this way does not do that. It backfires and just gets people upset. This is one of the things this site should be doing for the fans..clearly defining what is happening in all things Paul!!! This site should give aclear line of communication between artist and fans. Of course we can't know everything but some things like tour stuff should be better communicated IMO

Yup, looks like they're announcing a tour next week. It's gonna be the year of The Stones.

I've always thought that they were planned far more in advance than released. These stadiums and arenas aren't twiddling their thumbs all year long waiting for Sir Paul to waltz in and request a date...all this stuff needs to be well planned with team schedules and other performers. Most Stadium/Arena tours through the summer are announced by Easter.

Stones will never over shadow McCartney. Even the Stones know that he is top of the heap, A #1 Demand for his shows will always be there regardless of whether the Stones tour or don't
