New Stage Design

Austin Powers 1 is simply a classic, start to finish. 2 and 3 were very hit or miss. How did we end up here again, so completely off topic? Oh yeah, laser beams!

It isn't finished yet, it'll be higher when it's done.

Makes it much easier for the crowds to get on the stage.
Maybe the 'platform' goes ontop of it? Keep us posted!

Paul would be crazy to perform in Brazil on such a low stage. Everyone would jump on him!

That would happen to him anywhere, I think, with that low stage! I would guess that is a base...

I'm really trying to think positive and I desperately hope that this platform is part of the finished stage and not a big white elephant sitting between the stage and our seats. The stars and pocketbook finally aligned and I got my dream seat - 3rd row center and sound check for Memphis - so it would be completely heartbreaking for the seats to be an extra 20 to 30 feet from the stage.
If, God forbid, we are pushed farther out and had I known this at the time of the ticket purchase, I would have chosen not to splurge on the package. BUT, time will tell....hopefully after Saturday's first concert we will be pleasantly surprised with good news!! Otherwise, I'm so excited about this concert....love the rumors of more song changes!!!! I was sick with bronchitis when I saw Paul in St. Louis last year, but I made it through the show anyway. So ecstatic that I get a do-over with the best seats I've ever had!!!! 25 days to go!!!!

I'm thinking the real test will be with the first Orlando show, since it's indoors and reserved seating up front... unlike the outdoor Brazil shows, which are general admission (I think.) I have lower level seats for the first show, and then 2nd row floor for the 2nd show.... So I am paranoid about the platform as well (at least for my 2nd show.) It will be a huge disappointment if the seats are farther back from the main stage than we expected. But we'll see soon enough.

I'm just happy to finally be there and regardless, be closer than I've ever been! I'm VERY intriguied to see pics from Saturday as to how this platform will work since my gig is outdoors this summer.

I'm not sure. The following picture is from Recife's concert, last year. It's possible to see that the stage already has some kind of platform underneath it. http://focka.mtv.uol.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/11-04-Montagem-Arruda-Recife-2.jpg

You know, something tells me that elevated stage will probably be somewhere in the middle of the venue, for a few songs (as some have suggested). How he will get there, I have no idea, but if you think about the ticket prices for the back of the floor being the same price as closer, not to mention some sections up in the bowl in that vicinity, perhaps it means those members of the audience will be up close to Paul at some point out there.

I don't know... the seating chart for my Orlando show seems to give the impression that its right in the front of the main stage:
Until we see it, it's all theory, i know...
-
Other than Orlando and ScotiaBank Place On, do any other seating diagrams show the platform in front of the stage?

Memphis doesn't show anything.

Milwaukee does. Brooklyn does not.
