Whats on the DVD?
Thanks, I'm quite confused to why this is the DVD content. I'm obviously missing something...is this a Canadian release only?

Cool bit about him talking about revisiting bass parts that he didn't think he'd have to play live when he recorded them This is one of the better and more interesting interviews with Paul I've heard . (although , he did play Day Tripper Live with The Beatles ... )

Crap! Why doesn't this show the 2 bonus tracks?!! Someone here said they were on this exclusive from Target! http://www.target.com/p/paul-mccartney-new-deluxe-only-at-target/-/A-14888129#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=paul+mccartney+new
Unfortunately, their website is messed up. I was by Target earlier today to buy a few bathroom items and dropped by the music section and noticed two copies of the KOTB deluxe album from last year there. In fact, that's where I bought my copy. Of course, they told me New is out tomorrow. Got home and playing on their site I checked to see if it would register the presence of the two KOTB in the store in my zip code. Their site said I would have to order the Deluxe version but that two copies of the standard were there as part of the inventory. Clearly, it is not a flawless system which, given the number of items they carry, I guess isn't surprising. P.S....look back at a recent message where someone reported their Target deluxe version WITH THE DVD came in the mail. Everything we have heard on here said that the DVD was only with the standard version.
Yes, I was trusting Target's website (silly me!) for their tracklisting, and then it turned out that Turned Out and Get Me Out Of Here actually are on the Target exclusive, as I noticed someone on another forum saying who ordered it online and got it early. So this seem like the one to get, and now I wonder about the Best Buy one too.

You did a great job tracking all this. I guess Target has some data entry people plugging along who have no idea how their entries have been compiled and compared with what is offered by Best Buy, Amazon, etc. so they let things slip. It's all added to the anticipation of what will finely come out.

Someone has just put Struggle up on Youtube from the Japanese CD. Thanks to them.

This will have to do for now. I keep telling myself, "You're getting 15 new McCartney tracks tomorrow. You can wait a bit for the 16th one!"

Pre-ordered the deluxe album but I won't get it on release day thanks to a mass transit strike happening here tomorrow. GRR Was too late to change the shipping address to my home address since I'll be working from home.

Research shows that, as with books, albums are optimally enjoyed when one purchases his own copy.
audi, I'm thinking of you as I'm going on the second listen of New: I'm getting a very "Fireman" vibe from the album as a whole. Is it just me or are you hearing that too?

Well I immersed myself in the album yesterday. On repeat play at home and in the car on way to work. Love it. I'm a person that has a tune running through my head most of my day - can be anything my subconcious drags up. I usually go with the flow unless it's irksome. It manifests as a quiet "pom pom pomming" under my breath in public places or a whistle when alone. Well, having saturated myself in the album all day I was entertained by the thought of which phrase or passage would bubble to the surface last night as I worked. Only to find myself trapped with "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town"! - I don't know what Freud would have made of that. Took an hour or so to shift that and found the Everybody Out There passage "There but for the grace of God go you and I" taking the upper hand. Thank Goodness for small mercies Martin

That's the line that stuck in my head as well, along with Queenie Eye, Queenie Eye..

Still waiting to hear if Best Buy has any bonus tracks, but, in case you missed it: Target exclusive has 2 bonus tracks! Your guide to buying the "NEW" album. All CDs are out now, but the LP has been pushed back to November in the US and UK and some other places. (This is as complete as I can be. Any errors or updates, let us know.) Standard CD - with 12 tracks, plus 13th hidden track: Scared (with bonus lighted cube at some independent stores - and FYE only if you arrive in person - can't pre-order online, but may have to reserve by phone - call ahead to be sure) Amazon US: http://amzn.to/19GquHQ Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/1ahlpqi independent store with cube: http://www.streetlightrecords.com/Promo/1986. - just an example; link is defective, can't add product to cart Vinyl LP - with 12 tracks, not clear if hidden track is included; release pushed back to November 4 in UK, November 15 in US (and note that if you buy through Amazon, you won't get the AutoRip MP3s for up to 48 hours after purchase, but the AutoRip gives you the 2 deluxe bonus tracks, according to reports) - already available in some other countries, though (with bonus lighted cube possibly at some independent stores - not clear about availability since vinyl is delayed) Amazon US: http://amzn.to/1678bvg Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/1bNL0xK Deluxe CD (and iTunes deluxe download) - with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus two bonus tracks: Turned Out, Get Me Out Of Here (sticker mentions 2 bonus tracks, as well as 'New' and 'Queenie Eye' being the singles) (with bonus lighted cube at some independent stores - and FYE only if you arrive in person - can't pre-order online, but may have to reserve by phone - call ahead to be sure) Amazon US: http://amzn.to/GL8qWi Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/19Gr1K1 iTunes US: http://bit.ly/15AhdUf Target exclusive CD - with 12 tracks, plus hidden track (which is not "hidden" on the actual CD, just on the cover), plus two bonus tracks: Turned Out, Get Me Out Of Here; plus DVD (30 minutes, Canadian tour "Rendez-vous" interview - actually about 22 minutes, people are saying) http://tgt.biz/19ywhmN Note: the website shows just the 12 main tracks, but the bonus tracks are confirmed to be on this CD. Best Buy exclusive CD - with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus 'album laminate' and photo cards (no longer lists badge) http://bit.ly/187M5wx Note that Best Buy is also selling the standard CD and the deluxe CD, and that their own exclusive CD may or may not have bonus tracks. Japanese CD - with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus three bonus tracks: Turned Out, Get Me Out Of Here, Struggle [looks like CD Japan is cheaper than Amazon.co.jp] CDJapan: http://bit.ly/15w2ZnB Amazon Japan: http://amzn.to/GTwTcK Walmart - There is NO Walmart exclusive CD. They have the standard CD and the deluxe CD, apparently at the cheapest prices of physical stores. ($14.88 for deluxe: http://www.walmart.com/ip/28997612)) FYE - There is NO FYE exclusive CD. They have the standard CD and the deluxe CD. But they do have the lighted cube in limited quantities at some locations as a free bonus. Call ahead for availability, and you may have to reserve. For those interested in the color of the front cover artwork, it's definitely the orange/pink combo on the standard CD and LP, and it's definitely the blue/purple combo on the deluxe CD, the Target and Best Buy exclusive CDs, and the Japanese one.

Ok hate the title, its awful sorry but it is right forget the stuff the doesnt matter onto the album itself, Pretty fine listened to it a couple of times now i have the deluxe version I love "everybody out there" great song and for me the best thing on it as good as anything he's written in his solo years in my view hell of a song it really and worth the purchase price alone. Nothing comes as close to that song though Appreciate and Queenie eye are pretty good too. I have to question the worth of having 4 producers on it though,is it me or are the songs Giles Martin does that bit stronger than the others? i dunno prolly just me but Martin seems to "get" Paul's aged voice and brings the best out of it,and im of the view one producer has a more coordinated feel to any album, not just this one most times when different producers are involved its a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth, but again thats just my view. So yes a very good album from a man who at 71 perhaps should be thinking his best days are well behind him,but then again we're talking about Paul here and he is on a different level from other artists.

I think Epworth has done the best in terms of songs, production, and performance to be honest. I'd like Paul to do a whole album with him . They should start now !

I think it is like Fireman, MAF, and Chaos and Creation all rolled into one..

What I adore in Paul's music this is real feelings. It just makes me cry every time I hear his music, and this is the most important thing this wonderful man can do)) i like his songs because of the MUSIC he writes and touching messages he sends to the people. I'm just happy about his new album!!!!!

The Doctor of Unwanted Music Eradication has written a prescription for getting rid of Santa Claus is Coming to Town: Listen to Wonderful Christmastime four times daily at least four hours apart (with water) for five days, dosage not to exceed four listens within 24 hour time period and call me in the morning.
