What Comes After Japan?
-
What do you think will happen after the Japanese shows? I think Paul will take Christmas off, but will announce the 2014 Euro dates right before Christmas, to coincide with the Holiday rush. I suspect there will be about 3 UK shows (London, Liverpool, Sheffield/Birmingham??) Probably Ireland, and then some German shows. (Add Euro Citiies here) I think he might play the US some time next year, as well. Not many dates, but probably a few. Can he keep his Brazilian marathon alive? 5 years in 2014?

That is a very good question!

"What I'm going to do next I leave entirely to your imagination. I can bet you will never guess!"
-
I'm praying for he come back to South America in April or May of 2014...

Judging by his touring pattern in the last 3 years, Europe in March/April or June and the USA in July/August. Maybe also Brazil, Argentina and/or Mexico in April/May... as long as there are enough new cities to pay his fees and make it worth it for him (financially) to take all those employees and equipment over there.

The touring pattern in Europe/UK in the past two years didn't follow the previous years' pattern, that is the winter/Christmas tours. There wasn't really a pattern lately.

So maybe he'll surprise everyone by touring Europe next month in a bus with Nancy and the dogs!

Judging by his touring pattern in the last 4 years, I don't know where else more they can play, but they must come back to play in Brazil again.. 5 years in a row!

Yes, true of Brazil, but not of Europe.

I'm hoping he comes back to So. California and plays a full concert next year. The one hour free concert on Hollywood Blvd really whetted our whistle! Other than that it will be four years since his last gig here.

And why not Glasgow ?! He played there on his last British tour (2010) and he seemed to really enjoy it...

Last year was a thrill seeing him on SNL around Christmastime. Can't believe how fast that time flew by! This December does indeed look like a quiet one in terms of live performance, unless something is sprung soon! 2014 is of course going to be a celebrated year for The Beatles' legacy (especially in the U.S.), but I'm sure Paul's focus will be much more on "New" rather than a Beatles anniversary celebration. Nonetheless, it should be a fun and exciting year for Beatles fans and Paul - and I'm anxious for it!
-
I expect he''ll enjoy a cup of tea and reflect on a job well done. Martin
-
And write more songs, and finished those unfinished ones he referred to
-
Come home rest and then look towards the usual American/south American dates next year with the rest of the world worked around them, fully expect a decent sized Europe tour next year though.
-
Considering there is going to be a big Beatles salute at the Grammy Awards on January 26, and the next day a TV special recorded to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of their appearance on Ed Sullivan, I would expect Paul to be in Southern California during that time frame. And, he has to play something on the Grammy awards, right? Only makes sense. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/the-beatles/10451340/The-Grammys-will-pay-tribute-to-The-Beatles.html

Probably a well deserved vacation to some Caribbean island. Well he did say he would Europe/UK in 2014. But beyond that who knows really...
-
I shuddered when i read todays star will cover the songs... Myley Cyrus singing "yesterday" (for instance) doesn't feel right to me,hell just find some old footage of the blokes who sang them in the first place they were quite good i seem to recall,i cant think of one Beatle song that a cover version is better, but rant over yes i'd be surprised if Paul was involved in that show somehow.
