Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

I think you may underestimate Bob's knowledge. Nothing he predicted recently has been wrong. And, as to who Bob is, you'll know if you follow the posts.

Erik in NJ:
I would be very suprised to see Paul doing a 2014 tour without either MSG or something being done across the river in NJ. Prove me wrong Bob whoever you are.
You're going to be very surprised then
-
Erik in NJ:
I don't know who Bob is, but I'm a skeptic that he has "inside info" and is then dropping hints as to where the shows are. One would think that an "insider" would be sworn to secrecy regarding the cities. I don't see NY or NJ on that list and I would be very suprised to see Paul doing a 2014 tour without either MSG or something being done across the river in NJ. Prove me wrong Bob whoever you are.
Bob was correct last summer and I bet will be correct again this summer. In fact, he has been correct so far with all the shows and he has already posted the dates of all the shows and I have a funny feeling they will line up with the actual dates when all is said and done.

Well, if all the dates are already in the can, why not just announce 'em altogether for cryin' out loud??? It's like back in the old days when finding out where the next rave was.

Because Paul's management thrive on the suspense and making the fans run to all corners of the country for his shows. It sells more tickets....tickets which are grossly more expensive this year.

They are? Yikes.

Well, they're very disproportionate. I just paid $290 a ticket for the first tier of an arena. The same price as 2/3 of the floor. And the entire remaining third of that floor is all packages ranging from $600-$2000.

But from what I looked at the soundcheck & then seats up front...not in the first row... are still $1500.00. Same as the last few years.

Yes, the packages haven't changed. But there seems to be more seats reserved for packages and not face value tickets, making camp McCartney richer in the end.

18-21 shows is a lot. I predict: Chicago Minneapolis Lubbock Los Angeles San Francisco Cleveland Detroit Denver Tucson Las Vegas St. Louis Houston Atlanta Miami Raleigh Washington DC Philadelphia Jacksonville Portland San Diego
I'm really hoping for Portland to come true, living in Vancouver I'm 6 hours away. I could likely swing Vegas but Portland much easier. Bob can you confirm the chances of Portland happening?

I predict several double nights like last years arena shows. Double nights in Chicago and possibly Louieville. He just played D.C. St Louis and Houston.

Well that just sucks eh? $290 for 1st tier? That is also what just a floor ticket is?

Erik, for my own selfish reasons I have absolutely no desire to prove you wrong....I live in JERSEY and would be over the top excited if that materializes!

Oops! I forgot to predict a show in New Jersey! ops:

Haven't had much time to communicate lately but have been watching things develop. Has Bob or anyone else heard anything about Charleston South Carolina as a possible tour stop? It ought to be attractive in that he has never played there, the arena looks on the smallish size but probably compares to what he is playing in Albany. It also puts him in reasonable proximity to his historic stopping points in the southeast--Atlanta, Columbia, S.C, Charlotte and Raleigh, both in N.C. and he could draw fans from there as well.

Thanks Bob! I walk past MSG every day on my way to Penn Sta. and now that it's been redone (MSG that is) it's be great to see a show there or across the river in NJ. I'm in Bergen County. What part of the state are you in? You going to Albany?

Think it's a little of both Audi and Wix...the suspense and you have to leave room for last minute changes due to whatever...look at last summer Albuquerque fell through supposedly in the last minute. Hell I was so sure of Albuquerque after a friend told me and then sent me an article in the NM paper of the mayor of Albuquerque declaring the show and date...I took vacation and booked a room. Thank god I didn't do a flight. Stuck with the vacation but was able to cancel hotel. I had friends from TN telling me Memphis on the same date and I was like no way...friend from NM told me it was coming and newspaper said so One thing I think we can all agree on is that it is a rotten way of announcing a tour for fanwise becase unless he is playing very near you...you have to make a load of arrangements from travel to getting off work and hotels. Then add the panic of seeing the first shows announced and buying out of panic only to find out later that he's playing your hometown during a later announcement. Hell knows I've done that tons of times. Take what anybody says with a grain of salt. It is NEVER 100% in the books until Paul makes an official announcement!
-
Having said that, my travel plans for this summer have not been made. I have Pittsburgh tickets for 7/7 and have taken a week vacation in the hopes that there will be another show or two that week I can catch near each other...Right now, hoping to drive the 6 1/2 hours to Pittsburgh and whatever is close...but I may have to switch over to plan B and do flights
