Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

Oops! I forgot the other clue Wind and wings- Silent Wings Museum and American Wind Power Center both listed in tripadvisor top 5 things to see on Lubbock...and yes, somebody did guess that right!

While it would be nice if all the shows were announced at once - or even all the shows in one leg. It is nice to get these announcements of 4-6 at a time rather than the 1 and 2's. Now it appears that not all the shows are finalized yet (see the SF/Santa Clara) so announcing all at once may not be an option - but this has been a better release cycle this year than the last couple of years so far. Hopefully the rest of the 2nd leg shows get announced next week. Glad to see the board in a better mood today as well. RamblinRed

Slightly different way to look at the tour so far. Here are the concert seating capacities for the announced concert venues. Might also play into which arenas may be a little easier to get tickets. Lubbock - 15,000 (United Spirit Arena) Dallas - 21,000+ (American Airlines Arena) New Orleans - 17,805 (Smoothie King Center) Atlanta - 21,000+ (Philips Arena) Jacksonville - 15,000 (Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena) Nashville - 18,500 (Bridgestone Arena) Louisville - 17,500 (Yum! Center) Albany - 15,357 (Times Union Center) Pittsburgh - 14,536 (Consol Energy Center) Salt Lake City - 15,000 (EnergySolutions Arena) RamblinRed

very interesting indeed....I'd argue that this is the most US dates shows we've had announced in one shot since he's been doing these mini-tours!
-
Now we need to hear some dates for the midwest !!
-
DrBeatle:
Wonder how close he'll come to the Northeast this time (ie, any shows in New England since he already played Boston last summer)? In any event, it's always exciting to find out the new dates!
Well, Albany, NY is not that far for you to go, is it? Almost a straight shot west on the pike.

This is my 'argument' for Fargo (unconfirmed). The Fargodome is 20,000+ whereas the rumored Scheel's Arena is 5-6000 only.

The Jacksonville show seemed tempting at first but I'm not going to do it 'cause I've never been to that part of the state before so I don't know what the transportation is like. 15,000 people the stadium holds so that is pretty exciting in itself but I don't want to get lost in florida ops:

Hoping everyone is in a better mood today with 6 brand new announcements expalanation of first clues Lawrence & Ella- Buddy Holly's parents name 1st and 14th- first US show on the 14th 1891-Lubbock High School Established Black & Gold-Lubbuck HS Westerner's school colors Curtis & Davis- Sonny Curtis and Mac Davis also graduated Lubbock HS so if you guessed Lubbock you were right!! Appears that the foreign iconic venue might be wrong though since the US shows are being announced. Shaping up to be a fun summer. Hope all gets tickets to the shows they want!
Thanks for explaining Bob! I am so psyched about the Atlanta show!!
So I guess you'll be going?

I think Fargo is probably a done deal...although I agree seems like the Fargodome makes more sense unless some rich North Dakota promoter is footing a big part of the McCartney's guarantee.

The last time he played in Georgia was 2009, but the last time he played at Philips Arena was 2005.

Putting together Bob's original clues, confirmed dates, and best guesses based on the letters (in the "LDN..." line) matching up to the first letter of each city. I don't know what the second and third lines of letters refer to; it's not the venues, as far as I can see. And what's up with August 14th? And what are the first three lines of numbers? And why, oh why, does there seem to be no place for Philadelphia???...unless it's August 12. Sorry I haven't credited specific people for the different pieces of this puzzle, but thanks for your work! 61121145987611327009542 9731008432376900973678 4502800865241841098077 LDNAJNLAPCFLKMMSLPoSSoP NPBALMKWTDOPSJYMMAPHD NWLSASVBNMETOPKLGDCARH 61461661962162262562600 70570770971071271471600 80280580781081281400000.... 6/14 - Lubbock 6/16 - Dallas 6/19 -New Orleans 6/21 - Atlanta 6/22 - Jacksonville 6/25 - Nashville 6/26 -Louisville 7/5 - Albany 7/7 - Pittsburgh 7/9 - (Chicago) 7/10- (Fargo) 7/12 - (Lincoln, Nebraska) 7/14 - (Kansas City) 7/16 - (Madison, WI) 8/2 - (Minneapolis) 8/5 - (San Francisco) 8/7 ? Salt Lake City 8/10? (Los Angeles) 8/12 - (Phoenix or Portland) 8/14- (oSSoP)??
-
Are there even 20,000 people in North Dakota?
-
I suppose the next batch of dates will be announced in a week.
-
What if PoS was Phoenix or San Diego and SoP was Seattle or Portland?
-
KingMacca:

They'll come from South Dakota.
-
Looking again now, and I'm thinking that 7/16 would be either Madison or Minneapolis, and then 8/2 would be something closer to the west coast (Missoula, Montana?). Why would he take two weeks off between Wisconsin and Minnesota, which are right next to each other? And my only shred of hope in the Philly area is if the C turns out to be Camden, NJ, where there's an amphitheater that's popular for summer shows. Just a shred!
