US OUT THERE TOUR JUNE DATES RESCHEDULED: OCTOBER

Predictable indeed...what's this "surprises" business, has this been hinted at officially? I wonder if it's not time for him to cut down on his shows too, 2 or 2.5 hours would be fine and would likely stress his system a bit less.
That is an interesting comment...We just saw Billy Joel at the Hollywood Bowl and he played spot on 2 hours...we commented after the concert which songs he didn't play , but maybe he knows to keep it to 2 hours....

Little bit bummed that the show I was taking my kids to won't be on a saturday night now - and is now some ways off. But mostly, i'm glad to hear that McCartney is getting better and looks like will be able to resume full activity soon enough. I've been battling a virus for 2 1/2 weeks and I certainly could not do 3 hours of strenuous activity right now. Keep getting healthy Macca. RamblinRed

Me and my mates have been suggesting after he left hospital these dates would not happen. They/he must have known earlier there was doubt and sure enough just days before.... Bad form...even allowing for his health.

I don't know if there is any good way to do this. He should be ok to start July 5 in Albany. If that that doesn't happen, this tour is kaput.

Unfortunate for those that made travel plans and can't make the rescheduled dates are out money. Glad Paul is getting better and sounds confident he will be back in July. I among others, have dished out big money and it is a risk we take with concerts. i have bought and travelled a great distance and at a big financial cost to a concert or show only to have it cancelled last minute. It sucks, but it is the risk that i completely understand. Kudos to those that have the foresight to by insurance or refundable travel plans. I am not one of those people and hope that his July and August dates hold true. If they do not fly, i will still be pumped to go to the cities i bought tixs for, just be a bit weird with no PM concert. Get better Paul, hang in there FOTR.

The changing of dates on this tour is very similar to the way the Wings Over America Tour was rescheduled. The original April dates were moved to June with the May dates staying the same.
-
This tour has had its share of issues. A postponed date in Chile. Cancelling the Asia tour. And now the moving of June dates to October. Bummer for people planning to attend. Wings Over America got pushed back a month when Jimmy McCullough broke a finger. It happens. But so far, three legs of this tour have been effected.

My Dog has 3 legs. ops:

I'm still waiting for him to "reschedule" the Melbourne show he "postponed" in 2002!

I just spent an hour on the phone begging Travelocity to let me change our non-changeable hotel room in Louisville. Got the nicest guy and he let me change it to October 28, though we had to get a more expensive room because everything was almost booked up. I guess if October is canceled we'll just be out that money. Also a bummer since my daughter is going and this will now mean missing a day of school. But mainly just hoping that Paul will be feeling 100% by the start of the US tour in July and keeping fingers crossed that we'll be able to have another magical experience with him in October.
-
I knew this would happen. I didn't think Paul would have enough rest without subjecting himself to a relapse. I am actually attending Albany concert. I hope he will be well enough. I have seen him before, so I know how intense his concerts are. I just want Paul to be ok. Even if he ends up taking the whole summer to do it!! It is so easy to forget his age when you see him. For this reason he needs more rest. I just want Paul to be healthy!

Bad news! It seems this will be a troubled year, tour-wise.
He said he's feeling great, but he's taking his doctor's advice. What's bad about that? He's just being cautious, and putting his health first. I'd call that good news!

Like all the rest of you I'm glad that Paul is listening to his doctors and not trying to push himself too soon and is on the road to recovery. Very good attitude to have ehwalled, glad you will still be taking advantage of visiting those places even if the Paul concerts don't happen. It can be disappointing to plan a big trip to see Paul (or any big trip for that matter) only have to something go wrong or cancelled as is happening for June, but I think deep down everybody understands why and just wants Paul healthy. I spent a lot of money to go see Paul in DC last year but almost wasn't sure if I would be able to make it in time. There was a terrible plane crash at the airport here 5 days before I was due to leave and up to the morning I was flying out, I still didn't know if the plane would take off, as they were canceling flights left and right at the last minute. I thankfully made it, and would have been sad if I had to have missed it, but when something like that happens, you're thankful you and your family are safe and sound and well.

I am very sorry to hear of the rescheduled dates. I am sure many fans will be inconvenienced. Bottom line, Paul's health is most important. Hopefully this is just a matter of resting up so he can be at his best when performing for us.

sorry fixed it my tablet was acting wacky!!!!! it wouldn't let me correct the post.. so I jumped on PC side note: I knew he was going to cancel..... ops:
Just curious, how did you know?

Sorry he's had to postpone the dates. Thankful that he's planning on being back for the Albany show. May try to hit an October show now...something we couldn't squeeze in date-wise in June.

Unfortunately, it could well be that the health scare was worse than we've been told. I hate to sound paranoid, but it's very, very common for celebrities (or, actually, their press people and management) to downplay health issues or other problems. We may never know. I'm okay with that -- hell, Paul deserves his privacy as much as anyone -- but I don't dare assume the news is as positive as the official announcement makes it sound. I hope I'm wrong about this.

I'm one of the lucky ones who lives in the city he's coming to (Atlanta) and the change to Weds. Oct. 15th is fine because I don't work on Weds. and the next day I work starting at 2:45 pm. I'm sorry to everyone who had travel plans and will have to change them.

He's clearly been very ill, otherwise he wouldn't have been hospitalized for nearly a week and forced to cancel/postpone 12 gigs. While I do hope with all my heart that will recover in time for the dates in July, I wouldn't be surprised if those get postponed too. I don't take anything for granted.
