We really enjoyed the show last night. Everyone enjoyed themselves & his performance received a very good review in the local paper.

It was wonderful. Paul had such energy, he was still jumping around at the end of the night, and I thought his voice warmed up for ballads more as the night went on. Would have liked to hear Yesterday without the crowd singing along, the first line sounded so good. The light show as ever is incredible and it was so cool to hear Paul greet the city I was born in. Here are some photos I took during Mull of Kintyre and while they waved the flags.

We had seats 4 rows from the top of the balcony, and were just side-stage. Thankfully there was a side-view screen so we had a great view. I went with my son (his 3rd time) and my daughter (her 1st time) and met a friend prior to the show who had rear-view tickets only 2 rows up. She was also a McCartney virgin. The show was awesome, and Paul had lots of energy. In fact, he seemed to get more energetic as the show went on. I think he just feeds off of the audience. The place was packed and rocking all night long. He read out some signs but did not call anyone up on stage. However, as some lucky people have already mentioned, he stopped when he left the stage and signed some autographs, and I ran into the lady with the "I just got divorced" sign and she got a signature. I knew the setlist going in but I was still very pleasantly surprised with the staging and the arrangements of the acoustic set (In Spite Of All The Danger, You Won't See Me & Love Me Do). My daughter and I are heading to the UK in a couple of months and have a weekend in Liverpool planned so it was pretty cool. I have tickets to two different Cavern shows (one Beatles and one a John Lennon Tribute on Oct. 9). I think that set, the rising-stage acoustic set, and the encore with Hi Hi Hi and Mull Of Kintyre were my favourite parts of the night. This was my 9th show in almost 30 years, and yes I can hear the difference in his voice, but the man is 74 freaking years old. He's amazing and I will continue to go to any concert that comes to Ontario as long as he's willing to keep singing. ETA: The two virgins both loved the show and couldn't get over his energy. They were thrilled with the number of Beatles songs he sang (which is what they both came for). My son was thrilled with the Wings selections in particular and raved about the Foxy Lady bit. He's a guitar freak.

The Toronto Sun review just popped up if you google Paul McCartney (I had to hit the "More news on Paul McCartney line". The reviewer, Jane Stevenson, also gave him high marks. Unfortlunately, the Sun article did not include a video of Mull Of Kintyre. Both articles I read said he tore the house down with Mull. Can't wait to see the video.

Loved the show! I never heard MOK live before, it was Awesome. It's always great seeing most of the Macca fans that you know and see at the shows. It's a reunion. I got really lucky tonight and had a picture signed as Paul was walking off stage. A great night! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday! ::
I'm glad for you, Phil! That's my dream too, to hear Mull of Kintyre live! Maybe one day, though I'm getting less and less hope for that. Happy belated Birthday!
Thank you, you'll hear it, don 't give up

People, get to shows EARLY. Once again, people are complaining about still being on line to get in. I'd much rather be early, get in, and spend the waiting time inside rather than standing on line, but I guess some people think you just stroll in whenever you get there. Even friends of mine, who I plan to meet at the NJ show, just told me they plan to leave home at 4:30, go out to eat, then go to the show!!??
How early do you suggest getting to the venue before they allow people in?
It depends on your personal preference. I know I can't relax until I'm inside and have found my seat! The very latest I would want to be there would be half an hour before the doors are scheduled to open. Of course, the earlier you go, the better chance you have of seeing "the wave" when Paul arrives! I just don't understand people who arrive 15 minutes before the show is scheduled to start. It's not always Paul's fault when shows start late.

What an awesome show! I'm usually on the floor for Paul, but opted for a seat in the 200s this time around. The crowd was a little more subdued up there, but once he came out for his encore everyone was on their feet and dancing. MoK was spectacular as always! My only complaint is that I have the McCartney fever again and I want to see another show.

There's a portion of Mull of Kintyre up on Periscope if you look quickly before it expires. (Not mine) https://www.periscope.tv/w/amDt0jEzMzIxOTR8MXlvS01sT2pqT1h4UaLCNJpO2KYZWKdRUSP5vz9zwcIwVkVPz33tGFVtLlXa Also somebody appears to have streamed 35 minutes worth. I haven't checked it all out yet. https://www.periscope.tv/w/amDvNjEzMzIxOTR8MW1ueGVrZVhqT29HWEhPGeww60DXE5jQv9x5oVEdlY3zUw8SukarhYPAuyZv [I have a couple of short MoK snippets I may post somewhere if I can get the technology working for me.]

I agree -- the Hamilton show was marvelous! Paul did indeed seem to gain energy as the night went on. I've seen him several times but I don't think I've ever seen him so relaxed and playful. Selecting "A Hard Day's Night" as the opener was a stroke of genius. The audience was ecstatic and things only got better from there. Highlights for me were "In Spite of All the Danger" (which is now stuck in my head!), "You Won't See Me," "Can't Buy Me Love" (great pics of the Fab Four), and of course "Mull of Kintyre" -- always quite moving. I miss the excitement of the second encore but I keep reminding myself not to be greedy. Paul once again treated us to an incredible evening as only he can.

Graham Rockingham from the Hamilton Spectator (one of the big Newspapers) gave Paul a great review. If anyone can put it on this thread, it would be appreciated.
Just ask, B.J.! Here it is: http://www.thespec.com/whatson-story/6778635-rockingham-sir-paul-teams-up-with-the-argylls-to-give-hamilton-a-special-highland-treat/ 39 songs. Giving us a heaping helping of what we wanted. He's a good lad. As we were walking beside the venue after the show, a bus with a police escort came past us and there was Paul, standing beside the bus driver, looking out the window and waving to us as we waved back. THAT was just too cool!

Thanks for posting that! Also found on that page is this link to another story about Paul, backstage, in Hamilton http//www.thespec.com/whatson-story/6779804-hamilton-manicurist-shelley-morley-got-to-hold-paul-mccartney-s-hand/
