Paul McCartney 2017 Rumors
-
Unfortunately for my pocket book looks like Paul will be back in Detroit for what I'm assuming would be an October/November 2017 show. Second show in two years in Detroit and a third year in a row for Michigan. Think I'll go for the cheaper seats this time around (nose bleeds)

Awesome! thank you for finding that. How much more obvious can they be? the sign is even the "One on One" color.

Told you about a week and a half ago, announcements coming in one to three weeks, so buckle in . Tomorrow is certainly within that time period. Thought they would wait until after Japan but looks to not be the case

10am tomorrow in the US should be right around the time that the 1st Japan show should have completed... give or take a few hours. But yeah, I would have figured they would wait until the full Japan run was finished, not just the first show.

Glad for that! Happy to finally get some real dates on the calendar and see where he will be and when.

Thanks so much for posting this about DesMoines!! This is such great news!! Maybe there's a possibility now for Omaha and Kansas City too!
If this guy was in 2017 (instead of 1965) announcing Paul's upcoming concert tour, I'd be the girl jumping up and down at 2:46 !! I feel exactly like a BeatleGirl from 1965 right now!! Just checked and smelling salts are $11 at Walmart now, but may go on sale soon... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Inhale-Smelling-Salts-1-Bottle/702335181 -

Saw this on the InTrust Bank Arena's Twitter: INTRUST Bank Arena?Verified account @INTRUSTarena 11m11 minutes ago YOU'RE INVITED! >> Join us at Union Station Plaza tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. as we make a MAJOR concert announcement that you won't want to miss. pic.twitter.com/68S9DW1rFp There's no Paul-related hint, but considering the announcment is tomorrow morning with the other two...

Both cities fit in line with Paul's favorite strategy of rinky-dink towns. I hope he plays Texas! And if he plays Orlando in July-August when I'm there that'd be great too
-
... just hoping for a south Florida show... (Sunrise/Ft Lauderdale or Miami.) I'm not really in a position to travel this year. I could probably do Orlando again, but nothing out of state.
-
I wouldn't say that Paul favors rinky-dink towns by any stretch...what he does favor, is stretching a tour out to last a few years...and rinky-dink towns are the only way to do that without serious criticism for his fairly stagnant setlist IF it were to play the same markets every year.
-
I'm not sure calling them "rinky dink" markets is fair, but 'secondary' works.

It's close enough that I don't have to travel or do an overnight so I call it "excellent"

So far it is a bit of an exaggeration...but there have certainly been some rinky-dinks recently Hershey, PA...Charlottesville, VA come to mind...
-
I wouldn't say Detroit is a rinky dink town ! We have a new arena opening in the fall & we know he loves new arenas!

I think that was directed more at Des Moines and Wichita... not so much Detroit, which is more of a major market.

I agree! As long as the venue is within 200 miles of where I live, I'm not complaining ... fainting maybe... but never complaining I remember Ringo said in the recent Beatles documentary film "We play to PEOPLE, not to those people or that people...." I feel he and Paul would also apply that to WHERE they play... I don't feel they'd have an attitude that one geographic place is superior to another, that they'd want to make their music accessible to everyone... just my opinion. I think they'd always be able to draw huge crowds no matter where they play
