Can’t wait to see the shows!!!  There are prizes and some backstage passes for groups.  It would be cool if we could have a Maccaboard group!!! Polyethylene Pam, maybe you could help us to form a group, what do you think?
Here’s the link

That would be a lot of fun to meet some fellow Paul fans!!!

Yes I can definitely form a group for group tickets! I am not sure how many makes a 'group' officially, but can look into it. That said, we (hubs and I) won't be attending both shows - only one day ticket for Sir Macca's show - and I am thinking of the Friday, Oct. 12 date (2nd weekend) vs. Oct. 5. (opening).
I am having a hard time deciding which would be best ... opening show - or closing show. What does anything think would be best? Or maybe if we go on the first Friday date, we could hang around Austin, and wait for a surprise show someplace, but a week's worth of hotels would be expensive - and usually there's no way to know about 'impromptu' shows in advance of him popping in someplace. If there was a way to know/find out- I would definitely secure a hotel for that week, and/or stay with family in the area.
I have not yet purchased my tickets, but they are 'in my cart'. And now I am worrying about - what if it rains!? OMG!
-
-
Does anybody know if he swings his full concert lineup or if it would be limited? Has anyone purchased the VIP packages to this festival? Please let me know we are trying to decide if we should do it.
-
From previous setlists that I've seen, Paul tends to do pretty much his full set at a Festival.
Checkout www.setlist.fm
The Summerfest gig in Milwaukee was the full show.
Lollapalooza and Firefly festivals were perhaps six songs shorter, so not a huge deal.
I can't believe the prices for the platinum one day tickets for ACL. Crazy!

Who's attending the October 12 Austin City Limits? Maybe we can meet somewhere on October 12, what do you think?

I just hope that it doesn't rain in October, its been raining a lot here in San Antonio and Austin although it hasn't been lately. I hope that the weather stays clear at least till the concerts are over on October 14th, we'll see. Take care.

Indeed. He and the band have had more time to rehearse, so that excuse doesn't fly anymore. And Austin would be a great opportunity to promote Egypt Station and give a nudge to sales, which are otherwise starting to wind down.
