Hi guys,
Has anyone got the shipping notification eMail with tracking number from UMG for the 71-73 box already?
It's being shipped via USPS ground so I guess that it takes quite a few days to deliver and since the release date is on friday, I can't see it making it on time. I have placed my order right after it went on pre-sale.
I have sent an eMail to the UMG CS but haven't heard back from them as of yet.
Thanks!
FITG.

Can't you just get double cds for Red Rose Speedway and Wings Wildlife instead of the big box sets if you can't shell out that much? Those are two of my all time fave albums by him
SusyLuvsPaul, I just picked up RRS Reconstructed for under $30.00 at amazon.com. Double vinyl!
Double CD for $16.00 too! https://www.amazon.com/Red-Rose-Speedway-2-CD/dp/B07J3691L6/ref=tmm_acd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1544062768&sr=1-2
Wildlife is also available in double formats.

Relative to the smaller, 2 CD sets of Wildlife and RRS, does anyone know what TARGET is offering. They usually have great "sale" prices especially in the first days of official release. Thanks

In Defense of Paul McCartney & Wings' 'Wild Life' and 'Red Rose Speedway

I haven't heard of any extras with this set like Egypt Station had.

Thanks Nancy. Between tommorrow and the weekend, I will stop at one of my Targets. I'll let the Board know what I find out.

Whoa! Yes, I downloaded Red Rose Speedway and Wild Life at 12:01am and was quickly transported to my early teen years. Both reissues sound crisp and clear. And the outtakes; OMG the outtakes. I could go on and on, but as usual I will just say one thing. Trust Me. If you are a McCartney fan, you will love these remasters. Well, off to Target to pick up my new favorite CD's!

Where and how did you download them? For free?

I bought both LPs this morning, and when I got home to redeem the mp3s from the website, both codes were said to be invalid. Anyone else have this problem?

Received the 3 vinyl remasters. Great pressings - also the covers are really sturdy. Shame about the inner sleeves : can‘t be that hard to go anti-static. Especially at that price. The highlight : the RRS cover has the original Braille message to Stevie Wonder on the backside „We love ya baby“. The RRS „original double album“ is all right - but honestly it was the right decision at the time to release it as a single album. Still I‘m happy my vinyl collection of post- Beatles Paul is complete with allreleased singles and LPs ️

I just got the "previously unreleased double album" of Red Rose Speedway on vinyl and have been listening to it. WOW, I am being completely BLOWN away by this record, its art direction, track sequencing and sound! I'm so excited and over the moon! What an absolutely fantastic release. Way to go MPL. This is now my favourite Wings album. LUV this originally conceived double album!!! What an absolute gem.

I am having the same issue! I bought vinyl copies of the two remasters including the Red Rose Speedway double album. Not only does the code come back invalid, but the website provided doesn't even exist! I'm very disappointed. And there's nobody to even contact to complain.
Not to go on a tangent, but the customer service on Paul's website is absolutely HORRENDOUS! I'm sure anyone who ordered Egypt Station bundles or any product will agree.

Nance, I pay $11 a month for Apple I-tunes and I get access to so much music on my I-phone. Both releases were available for 'free' download immediately. We get it a bit early in Australia because of the timezone. I've been listening to both since. Wild Life, at the moment. And it is so much crisper! Particularly the title track. I even listened to the old CD I have to be sure I wasn't kidding myself that the sound is so much better... it's a great sound. So much better!... Can't stop listening to the title track.

The Wild Life home recordings with the kid/kids in the background is simply gorgeous.
-
Outtake 1, 2 and 3 will disappoint. Should never have been included.
-
I haven't listened to Give Ireland Back to the Irish for ages... wow, it's the most politically-charged song ever written by a Beatle, particularly for the time. Wow. And it's a great 'forgotten' song. Sung passionately. Fantastic.

The Box set is sold out, does anybody know if there will be future rre-eleases of the box set? It was so expensive that while I was saving to buy it it ran out before release.
