Spokane show

So he didn't do Morse Moose and the Grey Goose? Damn.
While I'm glad he kept some Egypt Station songs in the show (too often he takes songs from the last album, files them away and forgets them), I wish it wasn't the album's two weakest tracks. And he did my least favorite track from MAF. I guess there's some joy in the fact that he hasn't entirely forgotten the last 15 years of his career, but he picked the safest choices -- songs casual fans might at least have heard at some point because they were the tracks promoted as radio singles and videos.
And I'm really surprised that Women and Wives was the only McCartney III song he played. But it's probably more comfortable for his voice than Find My Way, which does a lot of jumping around between low and high notes.
And WTF is up with In Spite of All the Danger? Do we really need that and not -- for example -- Dominoes or That Was Me?
He's never gonna change. I love Paul to death, but this is not a show I would spend piles of money to see.

I knew he would cut USSR. I think I did see a tweet that Can't But Me Love was the opener. Will go back and look for it.
Says that was the opener. There is also a guy tweeting the set and he does not list Juniors Farm.
Well I saw & heard the video so I believe they did it. I know my friend is there.
I believe you, but I haven't seen it listed anywhere. Setlist.fm, which is crowdsourced, doesnt list it either.
I told my friend about this and asked where it was in the set. I don't expect I'll hear from her until tomorrow at best
I heard from a different friend who was there, and she confirmed Junior's Farm but didn't remember exactly where it was. These ladies are superfans and I believe them. The Twitter person missed one, at least.

Ooooops.... I got caught up in reading and watching some of this and took a longer break (At work) and enjoyed what was posted and captured ... and before these might be taken down. (Hopefully they are not taken down).
Glad to see the horns are back.
it brought back memories of seeing previous shows. -

Hey Bruce...I hope the 2nd Egypt Station song wasn't "Fuh You". If that's the case, you're right...the 2 weakest songs on Egypt Station. I was hoping for "I Don't Know", Dominoes, Happy With You or even People Want Peace. The last one would have been a good "sing along" for the people from Ukraine.

Was "You Never Give Me Your Money" the full band version or the Back In The US version?
Also why is "Mr Kite" still there?
Also glad to see "I Wanna Be Your Man" not in the set, let Ringo do that.

A suggest you folks start watching this video at the 2-minute mark for a nice surprise:

Why does he feel the need to tell the same little story of Jimi Hendrix playing Sgt. Pepper in 1967, the day it cam out, before launching into "Foxy Lady?" He's new to Spokane, but that little tidbit is not new and has been told to death. He needs to update his stage patter. The reports from the Spokane media, however, were exstatic at his mere presence...looked great in his blue blazer and levis...slim, fit and trim. No mention of how he sounded, so I guess that was okay!

Yeah, I read the same review and shaked my head. LIke I mentioned in another posts, these reviews are mostly done by fan boys/girls and not real music critics. Good for Paul for looking well at his age but what does that have to do with the show. No mention of his voice or how well the band sounded musically. I could have basically done the same review not attending the concert -lmao.

Also, what on Earth is up with not playing Yesterday anymore??? His most iconic song and every show feels so incomplete and a letdown without it. And he can still sing it better than many others remaining on the setlist which are a real struggle. Truly boggles the mind...

Man, people on this board are crusty. Why can't we just be happy that the man is still alive, well, and putting on shows for us at all? Pretty sad. I was there last night, and thought that, overall, it was a lot of fun.

Totally agree

I was so glad to be able to catch that live feed last night! Made me even more excited to see him a week from today!
A bit of a PSA though, people PLEASE leave the giant glowticks at home, that is so distracting to the people around you when they are constantly being waved around and blocking people's view on the main floor.

Two other setlist things we didn't know last night -
he _did_ play Juniors Farm. Very cool. And - at the very end of the I Got A Feeling video (
), that's the start of Birthday. So another couple of tunes in there.
The duet with John is a very cool idea, I think.

For what it's worth, I am happy about all of those things! I'm thrilled I get to see him next week for the second time ever, it's going to be great.
But also, as a fan, I sometimes have thoughts about how things could be better, and this board is a place where we can discuss things like that.

Agree completely about the duet with John!
But he still leaves out the line about the president/bag of cement. He should have done it between 2016 and 2019!
