I've played my Beatles @ The BBC CDs (the 1994 official release) more times than I can remember. I wonder if this collection will be as charming and awesomely musical.
Probably. More talking segments with BBC hosts, however. (Although, I just finished an article in Beatlefan Magazine on BBC 1 & BBC 2, and the person writing it said there were tons more excellent stuff they could have included, but didn't, that is apparently out on bootlegs; said there were a few repeats of songs that were on BBC 1 when terrific versions of other songs they never recorded in the studio and/or some they did, but didn't ever perform live in concert could have been included on BBC 2. So having those would have been nice. But we''ll take what we can get. I love that it's all been remastered!

Vol. 1 has 56 songs and 13 tracks of dialogue. Vol. 2 has 39 songs and 24 tracks of dialogue. Vol. 2 will be on Triple vinyl LP too. There's also going to be a Slipcase Edition with both Volumes. http://www.examiner.com/article/beatles-on-air-news-bbc-sets-to-be-available-slipcase-first-review Can't wait!

Sorry I meant Vol 34. Mine is on the way, according to Leslie at Beatlefan. She was surprised you had yours already as they were just mailed on the 24th!

That is strange, 'cause I see you live in the Atlanta area where they are mailed from and I live several states away from there! Leslie is a very nice person, but sometimes is, uh, a bit forgetful...or so I've found out when I mail in $ and she sort of takes several weeks to process it and renew my subscription....for which she apologizes profusely....and sometimes after I've paid to renew Beatlefan/EXTRA and the $ is deposited, I'm informed that my subscription has expired. It eventually works out.

Yeah, strange! And...I know what you mean!

: Why do you suppose they didn't include a few songs the Beatles recorded but did not perform live...other than on BBC? The songs are: "I Should Have Known Better", "I'm Happy Just To Dance With You", and "The Night Before"? Would love to hear their live versions of those songs.

Out today. Anyone done the download and listened yet? I suppose even a CD shop grab or day-of-release mail order could have made it possible as well Martin
