I wish George's and John's death anniversaries weren't so close to each other...wish they didn't exist at all...maybe it's better that all the sadness is collected in this one short period of time, so we can go on and recall all the good times they gave us during the rest of the year :

RIP George, gone but never forgotten!!

I remember waking up and hearing my mom on the phone talking to someone about how he had passed. I went out and bought a Greatest Hits album and introduced myself to his solo music that day (at that point, I wasn't much of a Beatles fan, and certainly had no clue about the solo material). I fell in love with "What Is Life". Still is one of my all-time favorites.

Love 2 George.

Definitely one of my favorite George solo songs!

I'm less sad about George's death then I used to be, (I can watch Concert for George without crying now) but I do think that with him dying so he'd never incarnate again (It was his wish to do it according to his beliefs) the world has lost something good. and I know it's selfish of me

I remember the day George passed very vividly, too. I was getting ready for school that morning, and I saw the news report of his death while I was eating breakfast. I wore my Sgt. Pepper album cover shirt at school that day, and listened to all of the George Harrison -penned Beatles songs on my way to school. On my way home from school, my Dad and I stopped off at Borders, and we bought "All Things Must Pass," which introduced me to his solo music.

Last night we were out to dinner with out-of-town family and my 7 year old daughter hushed me violently saying "listen!". I couldn't hear because my family wouldn't quiet down but I leaned in, looked at her and heard it... My Sweet Lord. In the middle of a nice restaurant that was more likely to play classical music. It was so nice and unexpected. I had thought of him during the day but didn't expect him to show up during dinner. And here is one of my all time favorite pics. I sobbed when I saw it up on the screen behind Paul as he performed Something.

^That is (I believe) when Paul, George and Ringo were finishing up "I Me Mine" for the Let It Be album in Jan. 1970 (the last time the Beatles worked together as The Beatles, but John was not there)

When the time flashed on the clock today "3:33" I thought of George.
