He did play the full 45sec song. He did chime in with the jimmimhendrix story after Let Me Roll It. Told a slightly elongated "Russian's learned English from Beatles records" right after he performed Back In The USSR. Got a roaring laugh on that one. Funny moments when he read the signs... Had an extended conversation with a man in the front row, kept reminding him that he had a concert to do. That he wasn't "the only pebble on the beach" tonight One woman had "sign my poster and I'll give you cookies". He replied "hmm tempting" Another shout out went to a woman who wrote on her sign "I'm 58, when I grow up, I still want to marry you!" Got big laughs... Brought up a couple who were celebrating their 35th anniversary that night. They were ecstatic. Brought up a mother daughter combo, who had shirts that read " it's about time I got a f*cking hug from paul McCartney." The moms posters said "sign my daughters poster please". The daughters sign read "sign my mom please". Very funny moment when he did both for them. Great fun last night....

A bucket list item (Mull ... We drove from Maryland specially to hear/see it! So thank you for doing it!) and a miracle: His voice is back! What happened between State College and last night? A little Paul miracle I guess! He sounded perfect and had so such fun. maybe I'm Amazed was excellent. There were so many good moments. It's hard to type they all. It was our fourth concert in one year and we will be "coming back for more". On another note, we couldn't afford floor seats so we sat in sec 119 (good view) but the fact that people sit most of the time during a rock show is beyond understanding...sorry folks but i was there to party with Paul! Also he introduced th band as his "brothers". A nice touch. One of our best concert. Those guys are the best! Hopefully next one we'll go back VIP, get on stage and close this bucket list!

This is also the show (of the 5 in October) I would have chosen to attend if I was able. While it is pretty apparent that you will get no Tug of War additions, at least you will get Mull of Kintyre. I have never heard Mull live and that alone will be a great treat for those attending. Every time I have seen a performance of Mull on U-tube, it seems like Paul's voice is very good on this song...in his wheel house as they say. Personally, I have attended 9 US shows over the years but unfortunately I have never heard Mull of Kintyre live. Why Macca doesn't ever perform Mull in the States is beyond me. Maybe he thinks the US audience doesn't really know it since US radio at the time was playing the B-side "Girlschool" instead. Consequently, it never became a hit in the US. Personally, I don't think that should be the criteria. Don't underestimate the listener in my opinion. A great song is a great song and many people who have never heard it or vaguely remember hearing it a couple of times, will be motivated to actually buy it particularly after hearing the excitement of the live version. Being in Sales and Marketing my whole life that is the way I think. I am retired now so Macca if you want to hire me for your team, I work cheap.

It's not played in the USA probably cos Girlschool got all the airplay there. Thank your DJ's for that. Paul never forgets.
If that was true, how come he has never played "Take It Away" which was a top 20 single in the US and the video got plenty of play on MTV back then.

Curious, what was the crowd reaction to "45sec" song? Always hear how Mr. McCartney always wants to please the crowd which is why he does not play more of his solo songs, can't imagine the crowd really knowing "45sec" song.

Many examples that apply to different countries, but I just surmised that was the reason he doesn't play Mull in the USA in this particular case. Of course only McCartney can give us the real reason.

He didn't do Hope for the Future. Instead he did Mull. It's the same thing when he plays in France where he automatically plays Michelle (and the audience goes nuts! .... He has such a cute accent when he sings in French).

The crowd not being familiar with a worldwide million seller and radio A-rotation song ? 235 million streams on Spotify alone. (I know his crowd isn't the Spotify crowd, so this is simply an interesting side note: this track is 10 months old, the third fastest track to ever hit 100+ million plays, and McCartney's second most played song on Spotify is a live version of 'Live And Let Die': a mere 12 million.)

Whoops, missed that in my overview above. 'Mull' was an addition the the second encore though: 4 songs instead of the regular 3. 'Hope For The Future' indeed skipped in regular set.

Obviously that track would get more interest. All 3 artists brought their own fan base.

Really, do you think the majority of his crowd really is listening to radio and what tops the charts today? Be honest, this song is not hitting the 100 million plays due to Mr. McCartney.

That's exactly why I pointed precisely that out as a side note: it's not random that song is trumping all other songs by McCartney on streaming platforms. But still, you must have lived under a rock if you were able to avoid that song this year.

I must know a lot of people who live under a rock - lol.

Yeah, I listened to it once or twice but it's not in my current playlist or likely to be. But 4 5 Seconds would be right at home on a Fireman album.

some of that is just a Toronto audience thing; they don't tend to stand for shows. Some of it is just the way people are at shows. If they paid for a seat, they want to sit in it. glad you enjoyed the show and Mull! I normally do not miss him when he plays Toronto but circumstances this year caused me to do so but happy for those that went and enjoyed and are sharing their comments here.

Did anyone get any video of Paul arriving in any of the five cities? Any comparison to this (Tennessee 2013)?

He did do the whole version of this song and, it seemed to me, that people were really into it. There were a lot of younger people around where I was sitting and they seemed pretty excited for this song.

From where I was sitting it looked like those on the floor were standing the whole night but the crowd in my area didn't really get to their feet until Obla di obla da. Personally, I'm ok with standing but don't like to because I may obstruct the view of the person sitting behind me. It didn't look to me like the person behind me could stand for long even if she wanted to so I didn't want to ruin her evening. Sitting or standing it was a great show. On another note, I picked up the poster they were selling that had the date, city and venue printed on it. I was surprised today to notice the spelling mistake. They spelled it Air Canada Center instead of Centre. Guess it was printed in the States instead of Canada/Britain.

Just read the reviews from the 2 big Toronto papers. Both couldn't say enough about the quality of the show and Macca's stamina ...41 songs, 3 hours. I am surprised about the lack of knowledge of the music writers covering the show particularly the Toronto Star. The writer said that McCartney delivered a few surprises: Let Me Roll It Helter Skelter 1985 and the "newer" Temporary Secretary". I guess the writer did not know that Temporary Secretary is 35 years old and that Paul has been playing Let Me Roll It and Helter Skelter forever. With knowledge like this, no wonder Macca doesn't get any criticism for his setlist.
