This brings back great memories of my trip across "da boarder" in 2010. It was worth it---Mull of Kintyre after loving that song since it came out. Great place for a concert. Wish I could go again but better stay put, save the money. For those going, I recommend staying at the Westin Harbour Castle that has a wonderful view of Lake Erie and is less than a 10 minutes walk from the ACC. Also, I seem to recall a number of us met at the Loose Moose--They were playing Macca music the whole time we were there so with Side Two of Band on the Run played on the radio, that is a great town to see Macca. As for Mull, wonderful! Wonder if he will use the Paris Port Dover Pipe Band again? Have fun, everyone!

Correct me if I'm wrong but Toronto is the only city that he performs "Mull of Kintyre. I'm tempted to purchase tickets.
He played Mull in Vancouver November 2012... Had bagpipes and everything!
Yes he did! It's one of the reasons I went to see him that year in Vancouver!
-
I'm still surprised about concerts being confirmed in October, but I'm happy for those who will be there!

I am planning on going to see Paul here, just to see "Mull of Kintyre". It's one of my favorite songs, so this would be kind of a bucket list thing. I'm a little confused about the pre-sale. It says you have to be registered on the site by 8am Eastern time on Monday. What time will the pre-sale start? And if I'm getting the emails that the site sends out, that means I'm already registered with that address, correct? Every couple of years I have to figure this stuff out.
Hi, The pre-sale will begin at 10AM EDT. Correct, if you have received the concert/pre-sale announcement email you are registered to participate in the pre-sale and will use that registered email address to gain access to the pre-sale. Best of luck obtaining tickets! Anita

Hi, Yes, apparently the first batch have been sent out as I received mine today (Friday) at 1:29PM EDT. If you have not yet received an announcement email, please keep checking and also check your spam folder. Best of luck obtaining tickets! Anita

He DOES perform Mull of Kintyre in Toronto - that makes the soundcheck that more special, as it's a real rehearsal. Can't afford that this year, but for those considering it, Toronto is the place to go! I've already made hotel reservations, now just have to wait for presale info & then go through the Russian Roulette of snagging good seats! I just might be able to scratch enough to get Platinum...but I'm starting to wonder if he might go back to MSG - he hasn't played there in ages!
I wonder if Paul lets soundcheckers in for the Mull Of Kintyre rehearsal. Anyone know or done it before?
Affirmative. It has happened before.

And also not happened. As posted above, NOT in Vancouver or Ottawa. BTW if you are not sure if you are on the email list, just try to sign up again. The system will tell you if your address is already registered. However NEVER rely on the emails. They don't always send them in time.

Thanks. I'm aware of that, hence my comment "it has happened." Not sure what you mean by the email list. That side of things won't affect me, sadly..

I got my e-mail from pm.com around 330 this afternoon so they are sending them out!

Toronto, probably the closest show for me. Sounds good!!!
-
I guess we won't be going to VA for our October vacation ... driving 10 hours to Toronto sounds like a better plan!

Toronto...Ottawa, Liverpool, Glasgow, Sydney. Probably a couple of other places.
Edmonton?
I believe he did perform it in Edmonton last time, tho I wasn;t at those shows. he did sing it in Vancouver. He does NOT perform Mull in Montreal.
He tends to perform this in English Canada because it was a hit and because of the strong Scottish/British background/heritage in Canada. (I think he even has an aunt who lives in Toronto.) He supposedly doesn't perform it in America because it didn't do as well on the charts there and because he still resents that it wasn't promoted sufficiently by his then record company.

You're good to go on Monday morning. You are already registered. Let's hope there aren't a lot of others who register solely for the purpose of buying these pre-sale tickets. Let's also hope that the ticket prices as currently listed are a range and not the only two options! $55 or $320 doesn't really make sense...Yikes!

I thought that the Out There tour is over. That's wrong. Congratulations, Toronto!

That comment was for the other poster, not you. Sorry, using my phone is a pain. And I didn't want people to assume that all Canadian soundcheckers have seen Mull and get their hopes up. Some have, some haven't

John, just a correction here. Buffalo is on the shores of Lake Erie whereas Toronto is on the shores of Lake Ontario. I'm also wondering, am I the only one actually from Toronto who (might be, depending on the ticket prices) going to the concert? I'm sure we must have other Torontonians on the forum.

Hi, No password is necessary to participate in the pre-sale. The email that some have received is an announcement of the new concert date and forthcoming pre-sale. No password is included in the email notification. The email address you have registered at the main site will be submitted to gain access to the pre-sale. Best of luck obtaining tickets! Anita
