The original proto-punk bad-asses.

Kick out the jaaaaa-aaams! Sure, they should be in there, as well as Yes and ELO and Chicago and many others. I think it's fine for Ringo to be in there. He's done enough good work, even though it hasn't been consistent. Look at a group like Heart: they made about two and a half good albums in the '70s, and that seemed to be enough to get them in. The ceremony video for them was quite humorous: showing scenes from their career, it completely skipped their entire '80s megahit phase (What About Love, These Dreams, etc.), but put lots of emphasis on photos of them as hot young chicks with guitars (which I'm sure stirred some nostalgic "reactions" from the middle-aged men in the audience). So anyway, Ringo has done enough good work to fill a few solid albums at least, and he sure did the rock 'n' roll lifestyle in the '70s, and he has played with some legendary players on his tours. I say, Wopen the door, and let him in!

Deeeeetroit! The MotorCity5. Agree that there are many, many artists not yet in the Hall who deserve to be there. And there are also artists who are in multiple times as a member of a band and also as a solo artist. I believe Eric Clapton was inducted three times--as a solo artist, as a member of The Yardbirds, and as a member of Cream.

Bloody about time Ringo gets in. Brian Epstein got in before he got in as a solo artist! Anyway, there are loads of "artists" that I don't consider rock and roll that are in...just IMO. I'll be there Saturday to cheer Ringo on...or IN, LOL, to the HOF

Here's the link for live coverage streaming of the ceremony. There are other photos of Paul and Ringo here too. http//www.cleveland.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2015/04/rock_and_roll_hall_of_fame_201_18.html

It's like these 2 are doing a few final laps of honour together before the end.

I disagree! He looks cooler during the actual concert here:

I disagree. I do not like those short jackets! A regular black jacket like at sound check looks better than that Beatle-y thing. Mind you, HE looks great! But I don't like the short jackets or the long jackets he wears for shows. A black blazer, a collared shirt unbuttoned at the top, comfortable black pants and shoes is all he needs.

Give it time and he'll be inducted again for touring with Delaney and Bonnie too! And maybe for organizing The Concert for George! Eric Clapton can't be honored enough!!! He may be honored just for having the name: Eric Clapton!

Has anyone posted the video of Paul & Ringo performing together? At the end, I love it when Paul leans over and says "Bow!" and they do the "Beatle bow!"
