Official and cleanWonder what that was that George said to Paul in the beginning? Any lip readers here?
If you google it, there is speculation, and I'm not making this up, George says, "John smells like shit!"

Looks and sounds (laxton's) superb!
I love that video! Paul is playing his 1961 Hofner (which was unfortunately stolen after the Jan. 1969 rooftop concert!)
Girl. We have been through this before. The 61 Hofner was stolen at Twickenham well before the rooftop concert. The bass Paul plays on the roof of APPLE is NOT the 61 Hofner. C'mon now.
Okay! Sorry I got mixed up. I just checked the Don't Let Me Down video and you are right. The '61 has 2 pickups near the neck whereas the '63 has one. I had always heard that the bass was stolen after the Revolution video, but you are saying it was stolen during the filming of Let It Be at Twickenham?
That's correct. There are clips from the film where Paul is playing the 61 Hofner. I seem to recall it appears in the Ballad Of John and Yoko promo clip.

If you google it, there is speculation, and I'm not making this up, George says, "John smells like s**t!"
Personally, I think that's nonsense. I don't know what he says but I'm sure the last word is "shit." I'd assume George was referring to a sound from somewhere...
-
Of course the other possibility is George tells Paul, "not sure if you know but I'm a really good ukulele player!:

To me it looks like "John's mic is shit!"

Nancy you are correct! I have a version of Revolution on my Director's early cut of the Anthology and John's mic was feeding back every so often. I think they digitally erased it on this release.

Just received an email from Amazon (UK) explaining that there had been a mix-up and the Blu-ray edition of 1+ I'd ordered is actually a DVD version. Blu-ray "not currently available". Order cancelled.

That's not good news. I've ordered the blu-ray edition as well but have yet to receive any email from Amazon UK saying that my order has been cancelled.
-
I'm just gonna wander into a store and pick one up. That way you always know what you're getting.

I don't blame you although the urge to save a few quid can be pretty strong at times !! I've just checked my Amazon account and the order is still there and the 'blu ray format' page is still showing on their site too. All very strange. Update: I've just received an email from Amazon....my order has been dispatched. Oh? Well, if it turns out to be the dvd edition, I won't be a happy bunny.

Very strange. I'm going to pick mine up from HMV/Fopp in Glasgow tomorrow morning on my way to work. That way I know which one I'll be buying without having to return anything if it's wrong.
-
I already got the predictable email from my my provider my delivery was going to be late.... still, there's a very, very, very slight chance I might get it tomorrow.... more likely another email will advise me next week.... or the next... I sure got the two-week deferrals on Tug of War and Pipes of Peace, but I'd be expecting this Beatles release to be right on time!.... It is the, after all, the greatest release since The Anthology... footy is over, so I'm sure looking forward to this. A cracker in the making. Can hardly wait!

Good news.......just had my Amazon order delivered and it is the ordered 1+ ( CD & 2 BLU-RAY's). Phew !! Just been dipping into the book which houses the two blu-ray discs at the front and the cd at the back........there's a really nice introduction by Mark Ellen followed by the entries for the 23 videos, which are all given two pages each. On the first page are the various credits for the song in question (recording date, location, release dates, chart positions), with the 'filming date/locations underneath. On the facing page the text is about the song and the filming. All the pages are glossy and very colourful. This is a real quality release from Apple. And I haven't even viewed the discs yet.

May I ask if you paid extra for such speedy delivery ? I ask because according to Amazon, my order is not scheduled to arrive until the 12th or 13th! : I do believe that I used to get CDs, etc., which I had purchased there delivered more quickly, but not now. It takes a full week after release date.

No, I just pre-ordered the release for £33.99 (its now £35.99 I note), and opted for the standard free delivery for items over £20. I've never used Amazon Prime for next day delivery. I've always found Amazon to be pretty quick anyway and I don't recall having had to wait more than a couple of days for any order to arrive. I assume you are using Amazon.com? Maybe the UK being a lot smaller than the US, Amazon UK are able to deliver more quickly?

Thanks. Yes, I used Amazon.Com.....but the real answer to my question, much to my embarrassment, is that you are in the UK!! I've seen numerous posts you've made...but just never noticed your location, I was totally oblivious!!! I'm sure that's the reason for the difference in delivery times. ops: Please forgive me.

No probs. Hope you receive your copy earlier than you anticipate.
