You know what would be great for a Beatles tribute????? A REUNION OF ALL SURVIVING RECORDING ARTISTS SIGNED TO APPLE RECORDS, THE BEATLES RECORD LABEL!
Trying to think who was signed to Apple that is still alive besides James Taylor, Mary Hopkins and two members of "Badfinger".

Sorry, but only one member of Badfinger is alive (Joey Molland) Mike Gibbins died several years ago at the age of 56 from "natural causes" whatever that means. Oh, and fyi, it's Mary Hopkin. Everybody gets that wrong. ETA: She's 63 now! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Hopkin

It says: EURYTHMICS, ALICIA KEYS, JOHN LEGEND, MAROON 5, JOHN MAYER, KEITH URBAN TO PERFORM ON "THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED AMERICA: A GRAMMY SALUTE TO THE BEATLES" No Dave Grohl?

They have yet to announce everyone who is going to take part in the special, and I'd think Dave Grohl would be involved in something like this!

Yes, I saw that. But as of now...no Dave.

Maybe he will be too busy working on his Paul McCartney scrapbook that night.

Looks like Paul and Ringo will both be performing on the Grammy Awards show: http://wogew.blogspot.com/2014/01/paul-and-ringo-at-grammy-awards-show.html Check out that YouTube video of John Wayne announcing the Grammy for the "Let It Be" soundtrack!
-
It is still unknown though if Paul and Ringo will be performing separately or together!

Just keep in mind, All the few times that Paul and Ringo have performed together, it was never official announced that they would be performing together! It was a surprise to all that attended. Podgie (It was a special moment) Monkey

I obviously missed that about "Badfinger", very sad. As for Mary, that one was a typo. (I know better - lol).

I hope Steven Tyler is included:
Oh yeah. One of my fav shows ever. That look on Paul's face--priceless. I wondered if he was messed up, about to cry, or both. Must have been a fav night for him, I would think.

Yes, I am going. I don't care what they play. I just have a feeling this event/concert is going to exceed everyone's expectations. They've kept it pretty well under wraps and it's going to be broadcast nationally. Can't wait until Monday!

Brian Ray tweeted this link about the grammy's Sunday night: http://www.grammy.com It says it's 12 p.m. ET/ 9 a.m. PT? What? That can't be right.

I'm wondering if The Grammy's are going to coincide with Downton Abbey. If it does, deciding which to watch will be no contest

Luckily, those of use with DVRs don't have to worry! I'll be watching the Grammys and recording 2 other programs at the same time! P.S. Downton Abbey repeats later that night and during the week.
