OMG! He's coming to Pine Knob! That's right by my house a bit. When do tickets go on sale!
Pine Knob? I don't see that listed. Where is it?
-
There is also a list of tour stops on Ringo's website: http://www.ringostarr.com/index/home/

It's the Michigan venue. The old name for the DTE Energy Center was Pine Knob, and those of us old enough to remember still call it Pine Knob.

DTE Energy Theater. It was and always will be known to us locals as Pine Knob.

Ticketmaster had the MS date listed as On Sale Soon (or something similiar). Now the MS date isn't on Ticketmaster. Some of the other dates are gone also. Any idea why? Is this normal? Do you think the dates will reappear? Also, the initial press release listed Dallas, TX on 7/5 but now the tix for 7/5 are in OK. What is going on?

I noticed that too on TM...might be that some original tour dates may be changing.

Yes, and it could also be the venues choosing to sell them by means other than Ticketmaster.

Normal for dates to come and go on TM, they sometimes get posted too soon. Keep watching or check the website for the venue itself which should have a link to whatever ticketing service they use.

I got my tickets for Detroit (Pine Knob/DTE Music Energy Theatre). Got the $20 pavilion seats. Figured since I took an out of town trip to see this band in 2012 I would just spring for 'cheaper' seats to see them again. Been spending at least $70-$95 to see Ringo at Casinos that last three tours (Windsor,ON:'08/'10 and Hammond,Indiana: '12). It is finally nice to see the All-Starrs back at DTE on a nice Summer's night for the price of a program. First time back to the 'Detroit' market since 2006. Anyone on the fence about seeing this band; they are a great group! I think the most talented group yet (thanks to Steve Lukather) AND tickets are selling quickly! One day after they went on sale - all the seats available are on the left side and premium seats ($94) are sold out. I got my tickets last night for Pine Knob too. I sprang for the more expensive seats as I never did that before. I'm hoping to take a certain friend with me who saw Paul with me back in '93. My boyfriend has a friend's son getting married that night so he can't go but I'm looking forward to a summer night of good music, warm air, fun times.

I just got my tickets for Ringo for opening night at Casino Rama. I don't think I've seen him in at least 10 years. Looking for to seeing him again

I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Ringo's current touring band is top notch. We saw him on the 2012 Tour, and looking forward to seeing him this year as well.

I haven't seen him since 1997 and he's not coming to Atlanta in 2014 anyway.

That's a really good article! Really captures what made Ringo the perfect drummer for the Beatles' music, without getting overly technical. I think his solo career has had some intermittent peaks. Certainly "Ringo" through "Rotogravure" has been his best period. "Stop and Smell the Roses" was more hit than miss, "Time Takes Time" (except for the dreary "Runaways") is up there with his best. He got into too much of a formula in the Mark Hudson years (those screaming background vocals got grating), but there was good material scattered through all of those. "Liverpool 8" was refreshing for its straightforward approach, but to me didn't have very memorable songs. "Y Not" felt like leftovers, aside from "Walk With You." "2012," although way too short to be an album(!), I found to have a nice, spontaneous vibe. I've only seen him once (1999). Very enjoyable, but I don't know if I could get into this new lineup aside from Todd. I've got all the live albums, though, so I feel I haven't really missed a lot.
I have Y Not which I got after I saw him at the Greek Theater in 2010. I listened to it after I read your comments and I disagree. It's a fine little album, with some excellent playing and some very good songs. One of his best, certainly of the last 30 years or so.

I agree about Y Not being a not so bad album. Liverpool8 isn't bad but I can't remember any of the songs. I just play it Y Not got me into buying Ringo again (and maybe seeking out those I looked over in the past) and 2012 is great. but yeah, he's formulaic and short. I just like the formula. oh, ANDIMGOINGTOSEERINGOI'MGOINGTOSEERINGOIMGOINGTOSEERINGO!!!! RUNS AND FALLS OVER *tHUD* I got two tickets and paid a little extra to be up closer then usual for me. They're at the side midway back. I could have gotten 5th section from the center, but could not justify the expense with my new car I just got. Now to see who's going with me. Boyfriend has a wedding that night. he's at least not going to drag me due to Ringo's show.
-
I ordered my tickets for the Providence show last week...got them in hand! Can't wait for June...to see Paul and Ringo both in person in less than a year (July '13 to June '14) is a trip!
-
Still trying to make up my mind whether to get tix or not. My first reaction was Yes! Then I remembered my financial situation, and started thinking if I really needed to see him, again, singing the same few songs, and with the same band I've already seen. Hmmm...what to do, what to do...
-
I tried to get tickets today during the pre-sale, but it seems that they weren't selling anything in the front sections. I'm going to try again Friday during the general sale.

Ringo usually offers at least one price level around $40....I'd just go to enjoy it, even if the seats aren't the best.

If you guys are on the fence for good seats just go at any price point. Just being there to see a Beatle and great songs is worth it regardless of the seat location.
