A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com

All this stuff from some people about first and second class fans is the most childish nonsense. Not good enough to say "ya pays your money, ya takes your chances" - not from a reputable organisation, anyway. If you advertise a service and charge money for it, you should give people what they have paid for, or give them their money back if you can't provide the service (which, to be fair, now seems to be happening in the worst cases). If you decided not to pay for the service, that doesn't make you a second class anything - it just means you decided it wasn't for you, the same way you make choices about anything else you buy or don't buy. If you genuinely couldn't afford to pay, that's another matter, but I'd say in that case you have more pressing problems than signing up for content on a fan site.
Have to agree.

Well I can't get this. Put in REDEEM & it says INVALID CODE !!!!!! So what do I do now ?
there is code beside the file size you want to download use that.
Nope dosent't work & I've tried all three. Still says INVALID CODE !
Hi Susan, The codes are six digits, a mix of letters and numbers, ideally it would be best to copy and paste the set of letters and numbers direct from the e-mail, rather than try to type them out. If you still can't work out why your codes don't seem to working then follow the links to TopSpin customer support pages in my earlier post here: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2630936#2630936 Martin

The download worked fine for me (the large one, took about an hour), but it doesn't include any of the bonus material from the DVD. You get the 75-minute film, plus a PDF of the DVD booklet (22 pages).

BeatleBAH:
I hope that someone reads these responses. As a lifelong fan of Paul McCartney, it pains me to write the first negative comment about any of his actions and or releases. As a lifelong fan, I enthusiastically spent hard earned money to become a premium member of his site as soon as I received the email offering such membership. While the initial free download wasn't at all appealing (since, as a premium fan, I had already purchased all of the content), the promises of special content were extremely exciting. The promises of concert ticket presales were even more exciting. I am quite disappointed to see this membership disappear. I understand that you are working on delivering something special to those fans that jumped into premium membership. That said, I hope, as you pull together whatever else remains in this special package, that you consider why we premium members joined. As a lifelong fan, when I think about what continually draws me to Paul, it is his music: music that he has written and performed as a Beatle, in Wings and as a solo artist. While I appreciate the free Live Kisses download and while I own the Kisses album, please understand that this content is not what drove most of us to become premium members. For this reason, in addition to the fact that there is nothing special about this offer as this content is publicly available, the first part of this special package is quite a disappointment. I hope that, as you consider the remaining pieces of this package, you more carefully consider what drove premium members to join. More appealing than Live Kisses might be exclusive download of an unreleased, exclusive, full length concert, perhaps from the US Tour, the On The Run Tour, or of the David Lynch Foundation show during which Paul and Ringo reunited. It would be nice as a "thank you" to Premium fans, if you provided something that isn't and will not be available to the public. Thank you for your consideration.
Great post. I share your sentiments 100%.

I tried to DL the large file and it said it would take over 2 hours, then when I came back later it said the DL was interrupted!! So now I have to start all over again. Maybe I will try the medium instead. :
Really? It took mine about five minutes. The quality is fantastic. Definitely a contender for a future Sunday brunch.

I have fibre optic broadband, but the larger file took a good 30 to 40 minutes to finish. As my PC is 5 years old and slowing down maybe that's a reason it took awhile.

Wow...sounds like I got lucky. It took practically no time...

True. It's like belonging to his club before. There was a fee to get the Club Sandwich magazines. Now it is or was digital. Same thing.

Well I just tried to download my freebie.I typed in the redemtion code, clicked on download and I thought nothing was happening,so I clicked on download again and a pop up came up and said I already had redeemedit! I looked everywhere for it,I don't have it!Now what do I do? I knew something like this would happen to me
On a windows pc go to the start button & there is a search bar...type in live kisses & it will probably direct you to where it downloaded since you did not specify where to put it.

Hope you finally got it. My dL went ok. Maybe when you were DL many many others were too. Too many people! (as Paul would say)

I got the "Kisses" download, no problems! It took about an hour and a half, with three year old computer, Windows 7. I put the digital file on a USB stick and put it in the blueray, so I'm watching it on the big screen now. I also loaded the small version for my Android tablet, haven't tried it on it yet. Nice film! Things I'd love to see on the site are: *pay to download any concert that was recorded *messages or quotes from Paul saying what he's up to. *Behind the scenes videos *links to articles in a convenient place *easily accesible store for each country ie to Amazon Canada, and quick overview of everything available to buy listed in one place. *the concert listing of course, and ticket sales.

Prices of merchandise at most concerts are incredibly high. It's a shame, especially for those fans that already have to watch their budget just to be able to buy a ticket but I'm afraid that's just how the system is. There is one thing I always miss and that is that you're not able to buy a cd from the concert you're attending. I know there are bands who record every concert and offer the possibility to fans to buy the recording of the concert they went to.
-
I most likely will buy no merchandise at the St. Louis concert. I have access to much better t-shirts that don't cost $40 or $45. As for the download, mine took about 40 minutes to download. I don't have the fastest connection living in a rural area. I do have the fastest connection I can currently buy. I was able to be online at the same time.

LITTLE LAURA:
Just because you have or are willing to spend extra money does NOT make one a better or more dedicated fan. Or more loyal. Nor should it. Paul is trying to make the world a bit better with his money, and adding his name to very neccessary charities to help people and causes in dire need. Yet here, some of you are, sounding like spoilt children whining because their new toy isn't shiny enough. You're lucky to have that toy. For FREE. A reality-check is needed here: this is Paul's website. As owner he's free to make any changes he wishes, or authorize those he hires to do so. He doesn't have to ask our permission. [as fans, you wouldn't presume to tell him how to write a song]. As my Grandmother said: ya pays your money, ya takes your chances.
What a bunch of b*** s*** !! We agreed to pay 50$ to help them develop the website in its beta phase. It said our memberships would start after the end of Beta. What exactly don't you understand in this? It's legal matters. Honestly Laura, you just pissed me off again. Congrats

I'm one of the people who very recently became a Premium Member (Oct. 13th to be exact!). I am pleased to report that I received an e-mail from PaulMcCartney.com today informing me that I will receive a full refund because they are discontinuing Premium Membership. Yay! They did the right thing - thanks guys.
all i received was an email about the download of kisses...which i have no interest in..wonder why you got an email, but I didnt?
-
Well it's over 24 hours now and my email with download information never arrived, even checked my junk/spam. Have emailed webmaster.

This stuff about the paid membership creating first and second class fans is nonsense. It's a product: you either pay for it or you don't. It's like arguing that having to pay for an album creates second class fans. I'm sorry for those who can't afford such luxuries, but that doesn't make them wrong or unfair.
