A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com

it's quite surprising that this site that should be devoted to music, have got very little in terms of offering special music. I mean, unreleased songs, exclusive concerts... Why don't you put an exclusive download for all the concerts that you got available in your archives? People would find that particular concert that they saw and they will sure buy it! Also, for each song could be very exciting to have a demo or an unreleased verison for download..you'll have tons of praises and sales!!

Will someone be answering the questions asked here? How do we contact the "friends" we made & now have no access to? Will we get our pages back?
-
I like having the music player on the site, and LOVE having a link to the forums! However, as another stated I am wondering if we will still have presale tickets? Also, can we not have a friends list anymore? I really liked being able to have my own page, have friends, and list fave tracks etc. It was just nice being able to feel "special" by being a premium fan! Now, we don't have anything special at all.

Will we be receiving refunds? I did not get an entire year of membership

Neither did I

As I recall, lots of people complained about the premium membership -- and the idea of the "haves" and the "havenots." And lots of people complained they weren't getting much for their $50. And lots of others complained that they wanted the premium membership to mean early access to tickets. So it looks like MPL decided to just give up on all that and go with a straight-up Web site, open to all. That's certainly a more democratic approach, it's free to everyone, and no one can complain that they weren't getting their money's worth. I don't really miss my page on the new site, as I really never used it that much. And it looks like all of the Premium collections are now open to all under "The Collection." Or are there some that are missing? At any rate, I'm eager to see how the site develops now. And frankly, I'm glad that it's going to be open to everyone, and that every member will be treated equally, regardless of income.

Hi Alan About the last year started new PM website. -The structure of the website is good. -The chapters of music, collection, arts, video, charity, store, film & books are nice and clear. -The high resolution pictures and videos are really wonderful. -The live information with the possibility to buy tickets is fantastic as you never shall buy a false ticket. -I liked the jukebox from my desktop. But get now a message 'This page does not exist'! It has gone by now? How is that? Can we only use Sound Cloud from now on to listen to the music? -The chapter New & Blogs is not attractive and I think it has to do with the color and the lay-out. "It's not 'warm and beautiful"! What I missed was: the old fashion very clear Maccaboard - Official Forum to chat; clearly arranged in threads & subjects, though I notice it seems to have been integrated now on this new version of the website if I am right????? It would also be very nice if Paul himself should time by time be here or on FB, Twitter etc. for a message instead of posted messages by one of his employers. Hope this is useful to get it better all the time. Rose

I'm so happy to finally get to the messageboard! Couldn't find it for a while. Thank you Paul McCartney.com! P.S. Hi (((Anita)))
glad to see you around.

Okay, what I want on the new site: Music of course. I don't own everything Paul did and how about some of those songs other fans keep talking about that didn't make it to any album? Photos. I love those. I'm addicted and have a problem. Concert ticket access. Something. Please. Take a cue from Elton? Okay, what doesn't work: The fans blog. Haven't checked to see if it was still a part of the site. I liked the idea of the blog and reading what people wrote but it was hard to tell who wrote what with every entry having the same icon rather then our avatar or something, especially when I followed certain blog writers over there like harleyblues.

Nor me,what a waste of time frankly the premium membership was just that,a choice to pay for content that others could also access for a fee it just doesn't ad up why they've suddenly decided to change it now.

A cool thing would be to have the videos of the shows and tours, I'd love to see the show in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo was the exciting on Hey Jude, are good moments that could have on files. Thank you Paul for your visit to Brazil

I'm worried for the tickets. How are we gonna get the codes? I wanted my premium account to get tickets, how is it gonna be? And it would be great if Macca himself answer us sometimes on twitter, facebook, etc. Thanks. I'll be waiting for an answer.

I have to register again, though I'm a premium member.

I would assume we're in the "free for all" mode now for tickets

I think they're doing away with the memberships. Read the thread that was linked in the second post on this thread

For the first time ever I am very dissapointed in Paul . That was quite a "luxury" expense for me to join the the premium membership & now it is just gone????? This "goodie" bag had better be very good to make the membership fee worthwhile. I joined mainly to have that jukebox feature & now poof just gone? Not right at all!! I'm not a happy PM fan at all at the moment. Not very ethical at all to take money from people & not provide the service that was paid for. shame shame

With all respect, how hard is it to prepare some exclusivities for paying members? It's obviously too much hassle to execute for the current team, but then get some other people on it, for example the HP archivists. One repetition recording from 1975, one behind the scenes tour snippet from 1989, one new instrumental from 1995, non-DVD live-tracks as 'Bluebird' from 2011 and 'Letting Go' 2010... They all own those rights and have the material right in front of them. But no, of course, that's going to be saved for the boxset in 2030. Very disappointing, since the possibilities were endless.

I've just received an email from the website team saying, in effect, that the site will be coming out of beta and will be revised. Part of the revision is a decision to cease the Premium Membership. Premium Members are to be emailed later with details of a "package" presumably aimed at giving value for money for the initial signing up cost. I'll be interested to see what they offer.
