Just announced on the radio that he is going to announce a series of stadium tours for july
Don't you mean a series of concerts? It's still the Out There Tour from what I've been seeing. Can't wait to hear more on this!
Yes sorry, long day yesterday! A series of dates, not tours
-
Now that Japan and South Korea have been confirmed, will any other countries be announced in the coming weeks besides the US?
-
Doubt it.

Doubt it.
awww...so sorry for you.

Black and gold is definitely Pittsburgh, and I believe the Pirates started in 1891, so it looks like Paul may be planinng to come to visit me! July 14 is during the All Star break, so the stadium will be available.

Pittsburgh Pirates franchise was founded in 1882....finally named the Pirates in 1891 but the clue has nothing to do with the team or city

Just throwing this out there...Would seem to mesh with the Lubbock, TX speculation. Don't know about the other clues, though. Who doesn't remember the Beverly Hillbillies theme song? "...oil that is...black gold...Texas tea..."

How many people can the largest venue in Lubbock hold for a concert?

Heard an interesting conversation on another list that I am on. If the rumors of Dodger Stadium and Candlestick Park come true (and I am by no way saying that they will) could it be Paul's way of telling us something????? I mean, Dodger Stadium and Candlestick Park were the Beatles last concerts! Not trying to cause a panic but I thought that the conversation was at least..interesting to say the least!

not saying it has any validity but hell.....it certainly would be a scary thought as history repeats itself!

I can't find the original post that mentioned it, but I read something about an announcement this Wednesday of a US show. Are there thoughts as to what town it will be?
Based on what has been rumored in this thread my guess is New Orleans or Pittsburgh. I'm oping Pittsburgh, as that's probably the only chance I'll have to see him this year....even if it is a four hour drive....
You better believe I'm hoping for Pittsburgh! But I really think it's going to be New Orleans. Pittsburgh news stations cannot keep a secret.. And I think if he were returning here, there would have been buzz already. I really think Pittsburgh is mere speculation here around the forum. I hope I am wrong though! PNC Park is an amazing ballpark, and the gorgeous Pittsburgh skyline would make a fantastic backdrop behind those Macca screens/stage!

Bob - you say hints have nothing to do with either city -- Pittsburgh or New Orleans, but then how do you explain this article on Examiner.com http://www.examiner.com/article/beatle-news-briefs-mccartney-u-s-tour-brewing-fabs-win-exit-poll

But it does have to happen at some point i suppose and i can see this is the way,in the future Paul would surely want to go out of mainstream touring (he'll never retire will he?) but as he scales back touring (as he will i would assume at some point) surely a last large tour would be called for.

I feel like if Paul really were to completely retire from touring, he'd make a BIG announcement about it and not be cryptic about his intentions.
