Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

Ane:
I hope he reschedules the Asian dates before he starts booking concerts anywhere else. For the most part, the fans in Japan and South Korea appeared to be very understanding of Paul's situation and handled it all in a classy manner (unlike all the nasty comments I read on mostly British news sites, where people seemed practically delighted about the fact that he got sick). I'd feel particularly sad for the fans in South Korea since he's never played there. Come on, Paul.
That would be fair: Asian shows (maybe Australia too), and then Europe and the UK. I hope he will feel well enough to do all that, of course.

Do you think there'll be another new tour after "Out There"?? I would love to see Paul do the Garden. If he plays New York again, it's a no-brainer he has to play there.
He seems to do a New York stint every other year and at a different venue. I believe the Yankee Stadium shows in 2011 were originally rumored for MSG, but the construction prevented it. I could see it happening. Of course the epic setup would be Paul and Billy Joel on back to back nights, and I could just stay for the weekend!

Yes, I do think he will try very hard to reschedule those Asian dates (maybe not Budokan, though) for November. They made such a big deal out of the robot for that leg, and his sales have been spectacular over there. And he released a "tour edition" of the CD especially for that market!

That would make sense. When he played in Japan last november, how long in advance were those shows announced?

I just looked thru some old news posts on this site, and the tickets for the Nov Japan shows went on sale in mid-September 2013. I can't find a date when the shows were announced, tho.

Given the fact hes been playing since the concert for NYC, I imagine he will play 20 to 30 shows a year indefinately for the most part. Revamping the set.

It could happen, but it would be totally unfair! It'd be a nice suprise to hear a European tour announcement for September and/or for December. It's been almost exactly a year since the Verona show last year! One of my fave shows.

oh well .. i meant he will probably stop " for a while" I wish and guess spring 2015 could be our moment. And yes Kimsey, you are right, he was great in Verona but he always sounds great to me anyway!

Maybe the rescheduled September dates will be the Japanese and South Korean dates. Just a thought based on no knowledge.

Certainly a possibility, I would say. I think he really does not like the perception that he's slowing down!

I'm not surprised we see another US date in October. He has multiple long open spots that month. I would expect at least another 3-4 cities, but they likely are trying to finalize negotiations now as they were not cities originally planned for the US. Asia in September would make sense as well, but given his family usually takes vacation in August into September some late Sep US dates may make more sense. I think the big news here is that he obviously feels fine and does not feel he has to cut back based on his illness as not only is he playing rescheduled dates, he also starting to add new dates. That is a very good sign for future touring. RamblinRed

I have to say I'm surprised by this announcement. Shows in september, a month in which he would always be on vacation? In the new video he says that the postponed shows have been rescheduled to september and october, and as we know, the US dates have been confirmed to october. Therefore, It would make sense for him to return to Japan and South Korea in september. However, there was a rumour in March of shows in Brazil in september. The source seemed reliable, here is the link again: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=86102&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=817

2015 is way too far.... it'd be unfair to completely leave out Europe this year! Yes, I thought you meant "for a while". I agree all shows are great. I've been to ten of Paul's shows and Verona was one of my fave. My fave is the special Chrismas club gig at the Academy O2 in Liverpool in 2010.
