puppywhimpers:
WCBSFM NY just played "Band On The Run" and the DJ mentioned the Out There tour and said quote "let's hope that area date on 10/22 comes to fruition" Could NEWark be in the cards now?
Say WHAT?? Did I miss something? Oh, don't be getting my hopes up! Then again, please do! I've been saying for several years now how perfect it would be for him to play there. Please keep us posted on this!

I hope this mention of "the area date" is true. I just got back from the first run of three shows and the NEW songs are rocking live!!! I like that the 20sonethings are dancing to the NEW songs.

I noticed that too!

I thought the new intro in Albany of "Live and Let Die" was the start of APPRECIATE and Newman would be walking out if the fog but that wasn't the case. I do like the new start of LIVE AND LET DIE though

Yea...that was my reaction too...earlier post (above) said WCBS FM DJ mentioned a possible "area date in October..."
-
When would he do a NYC show? In September? Or after Greensboro NC? Ok, I see there are some gaps in the Oct. schedule where, I suppose, a NYC date could be easily slotted in.

The "area date" rumor has us hoping for NEWark, NJ! Hoping for the Rock, capacity 18,711, located next to major train/bus station.

But would it be available for set up between 2 hockey games from Oct 21- Oct 24th? http//www.prucenter.com/events

Oh, well....maybe a different date would work? (I'm trying to be optimistic; having withdrawal due to first Summer in several years of not seeing Paul!) Hey...there's also a stadium nearby, which has recently been abandoned by the Newark Bears team; capacity only 6,200, though. Or how about Red Bulls stadium, right next door in Harrison? Capacity of 25,000. Come on, Nancy...you're a Jersey girl! Tell Paul to play in your home state! What's it been? Over 20 years or so?

Something tells me that a late october stadium date in NJ or NY is out of the question. Not so sure Paul wants to freeze his ass off

Well, plenty of indoor places in the area. I had given up all hope of seeing Paul this year, so it was exciting to see this latest "rumor", but I'm not really giving it much credence. Fun to dream, though.

Yeah, and due to his recent weight loss, his ass is already half gone!

Why not? Arenas do these sort of switches all the time.

Paul's crew needs a full day to set up. From early in the morning the day of the show till about 4 am after the show ends. Now, I haven't looked at the arena's scheduling, but if it's free 2 days straight, I'd say it's do-able.
