....or possibly "On My Way To Work" or "Alligator"...both of which were performed in soundcheck, and if I may add, sounded EXCELLENT!!
I was unaware of them! I find them to be a little less likely though...
Shame, shame for not knowing that. I think they'd sound great live: Alligator - Paul McCartney (Live Japan 2013 Soundcheck):

Stadium fight for Sir McCartney? SF Chronicle The 49ers are in talks with Paul McCartney to perform the opening concert at their new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara - a move that would effectively yank the rug out from under San Francisco's plans for the music legend to headline a final send-off concert at Candlestick Park. http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/matier-ross/article/Paul-McCartney-concert-Let-it-be-at-new-stadium-5398160.php
I will go to either one, but if I had my preference, I would choose Santa Clara. Nicer stadium (from what I hear), much better parking....plus a half hour closer to home (not that it really matters). Candlestick would be nice for nostalgia, but it's a bit decrepit and the parking sux not to mention it is cold ALL the time.

Ugh was really hoping Candlestick would be announced this week, guess not if this is going on. I'd be surprised if it was Santa Clara. Odd choice of a city to play in, then again, it's an odd choice of a city to have a team from S.F. play in!

I agree. Being a 49'er fan for a very long time, it will take some getting used to having them play in a different city.IF Paul was to play in Santa Clara, it would be a very nice way to preview the new stadium.

Yeah, if Santa Clara was to happen I'd still be there of course!

I listened to most of Andre Gardner's Breakfast with the Beatles show this morning (Philadelphia market). No mention of Paul possibly doing a show in Philly this Summer. Not to say that it won't happen but I figured that Andre might have an inside track so it was disappointing not to get any kind of confirmation. Paul's team is really keeping the US portion of this tour tight lipped.

Keep the faith -- shows like that are usually pre-taped.

I hope Bob's saving up some good clues for us....

Looks like $ will determine where he plays unless the nostalgia factor of Candlestick wins for him.
Let's guess which one wins!!
Why not both? He often does double performances at many venues, it would be cool for him to "close" Candlestick then "open" Levi's stadium a day or two later.

Was thinking about what we know and what fans think based on Bob's cryptic messages and here are my thoughts as a Data Analyst. If we take the numbers in Bob's message we get this 6/14 6/16 6/19 - New orleans 6/21 6/22 6/25 6/26 - Louisville 7/5 - Albany 7/7 - Pittsburgh 7/9 - (rumored Chicago) 7/10 7/12 7/14 7/16 8/2 8/5 8/7 8/10 8/12 8/14 We are looking at 3 legs - each about 2 weeks long with a couple of weeks off. That makes sense knowing his custody schedule with Bea. Also, nothing after mid-August - that also makes sense as Late August/Sept is generally family vacation in Hamptons time. Assuming the tour manager would prefer to have some sort of logistical efficiency to the tour then the first leg would appear to be a South/Southeastern leg. We have 2 confirmed dates on this leg that fit that. Also, 2 other thoughts - 6/21-6/22 would likely be a 2 night stand in one city. Selfishly I would love for this to be Atlanta. Philips Arena is wide open at this time with a WNBA game on the 20th but no other events until a Katy Perry concert on the 28th. Verizon Amphitheater has nothing booked that week and the Braves if they wanted to do an outdoor show are on a road trip from June 18-29. The 25/26 would also seem like a 2 date set-up - but they already have the 26 in L'ville and haven't announced a 2nd show. My final thought on this leg is that Lubbock would make a good opening show and then roll east. The second leg based on what we know and is rumored would appear to be a NE/Midwest leg. 7/9-10 would make sense to be Chicago as a 2-night stand. All the other dates look like individual shows. The third leg would make sense to be a Southwest/West Coast leg -especially if they want to end in eithe SF or Santa Clara. This is the other leg where the Lubbock rumored show would make sense as the first show in the leg and then move west. I have no inside info on this, it is purely my speculation based on what we know (announced shows) and what has been rumored on this or other sites (Bob's cryptic tag line, rumored Chicago show, reports on SF/Santa Clara). I have similar thoughts. The only thing that hits me is the MLB All-Star break is July 14-16, so this would be an obvious time for stadium shows (especially for a team on the road prior to the break, like Detroit, for stage assembly). The All Star game is in Minneapolis, so it won't be there during this time frame. I personally enjoy the stadium show just for the energy and excitement. Will be curious to see if any stadium shows are mixed in like they were last year. Either way, some news and announcements would be nice!!!
-
I do know I stated the obvious before, but it looks like more new venues, venues he hasn't played, places he hasn't been for awhile, and significant dates(?) looking like they are being picked over the standard expected places. This is the tour for the album to continue promoting "New." I wouldn't be surprised if major US venues get ignored because of the "New" theme.

Just guesses. I also thought one of the M's might be Missoula, MT. Elton John played the 10,000 seat arena a couple times in the past decade, but most likely the football stadium where the Stones played in 2006. Good show! I'm hoping for Madison though. Combined with living in Chicago, if Madison and Minneapolis both happen, I'd have to go to all 4. I'd really want to Get Back to Frisco too (lived there this past winter). Now where did I plant that money tree?!?!?!

Last year there was talk of Paul doing a final show at Candlestick Park before they tear the thing down. Plans might be changing according to a recent report: http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/sports/pro/football&id=9502617 As a San Franciscan, I have no love for the idea of a show at Candlestick, which manages to be cold and windy even when weather in the rest of the area is pleasant.
