Oh my you've all been busy adding pages to this thread since this morning. I'm lost: Did someone post the full set list from both the sound check and from the show yet? < edited > Found the running list - amazing that you all got a song-by-song update as the show was in progress AND it was streamed. I wish I had a copy of whatever people saw online. Christine

Does anybody know why they were filming? Will we ever see the footage?
I think they might put a little summary video of the show on the website. They did that for Out There, I think. Speculation on my part.

Limo greeting was very cool as well was seeing old friends and making new ones. Paul actually sounded pretty darn good but I saw the concert from a strange and new vantage point for me - no one in front of me but I was on the side of the stage, right by Paul's piano. There did seem to be some echo, but that might have been due to my locale. Lots of good butt shots, saw Abe drinking red wine, slipped and fell at one point....ouch. Not inferring it was due to the wine, but oh, the things you see at that level! I had a very unfortunate fan experience because of a horrible woman in back of me, yelling at me to sit down during normal applause and a security person who watched me like a hawk. Guess I looked sketchy to them....lol. I enjoyed the opener and Love Me Do and have never ever left a McCartney concert early, but I was being harassed so badly, I left early. Just say NO to FresNO. Hope the rest of the shows continue to kick butt.
Reminds me of a situation I faced in Chile. Chileans should be expelled from South America lol.

I just saw a clip of the car arriving; we were in the Student Rec Center sitting around - it didn't occur to me to step outside to see if he was going to pull up right in front of the venue, doh! Barb I'm sorry to hear you were hassled; totally not cool on anyone's part to do that, especially at a McCartney show.

Been there. Sorry that happened to you. Gotta' admit, I'm surprised bnecause you don't fit any particular "profile." The cure for me when I had a not-so-great time at the '09 concert I'd attended was by seeing him again the following year and having an outstanding night.
The only real bad experience I've ever had so there you go. Lots of curmudgeons around me and a security chick with a with thing against me. Exchanged peace sign flashes with the man, so it's all good and I trust there will be a next time.

Ah... ...female problems.

It was a joke, guys. Please don't call N.O.W.

Any report on merchandise? Did anyone get an autograph for a tattoo? I saw there were about 4 people called up on stage. Am I right that only one got signed?

I thought the show was great. Every time I see Paul, I'm thinking about this could be the last one because it's nothing last forever. Just like my friend who lives in Fresno, Many people in Fresno saw him very first time yesterday. They don't check the setlist every time like you guys or diehard fans. They were all happy to see Paul coming to Fresno for the very first time. I want the first timer to enjoy the show first, I want them to hear "Yestetday", Let It Be", Maybe I'm Amazed", or "Band On the Run". I'm happy that Paul is still around. I'm sure I'd never get to see him in person but he is still here for us. No matter how bad was the setlist or how he sang, or how expensive the concert ticket was, I'm very very lucky to see his concert every two year or so. Snuffy
This is it! While I had my share of complaints last night, this was his first stop in Fresno and I think that is worth mentioning...even if it is the opening night of the new tour. I desperately hope that when he gets around to the cities that have seen the Out There tour (Minneapolis, Seattle, Philly etc.) that maybe by then we'll see some more additions. It's not uncommon for a couple more rarities to pop-up as the tour evolves. However- I cannot believe the backlash on here to setlist complaints. If you like the show the way it is that's fine but it is ridiculous to pretend that he isn't changing this up enough. Look at the entire last half of the show last night: NOTHING changed from the previous tour..and if we take out Mr. Kite & Hi Hi Hi...nothing has changed since On The Run ended in 2012. I personally feel like I fall in the middle. I can live with repeat songs...obviously, as I go every year it doesn't bother me too much. I understand what needs to stay...however songs like "Back in the USSR" and "Eleanor Rigby" do NOT need to be on every tour. That's absurd. Thank God he finally let go of "Long and Winding Road" and "Paperback Writer" as they were in the same category. I could go on, but in short: it is absurd to chastise people for being fans of Paul McCartney, the artist. If he wants to hang-up that part of the title, then he needs to stop recording and start advertising this as an oldies act. Simple as that.

Yeah, it was just the mom that got signed, the rest of them were her kids that had signs asking Paul to sign their mom. One of the kids was named "Jude". Mom did not look old enough to have that many kids that age. And for all the naysayers complaining about Paul singing "Birthday", it was because there was a lovely young lady in 3rd row that had a sign that said she came 3,000 mi. to see Paul on her birthday, so he played it for her. Anyways...MY synopsis....soundcheck hospitality was great. Yummy appetizers. This was my 1st soundcheck...there were a LOT of people. Once inside the venue, Shelly gave us the instructions, like act ethusiastic (duh!), no videos, etc. Soundcheck sounded great, loved the choice of songs. Ushered back in for dinner, it was DELICIOUS, vegetarian lasagna, stuffed mushrooms, Quinoa, salads, all good. Giveaways were a cooler bag, small blanket, small poster and commemorative "ticket" but NO program/tour book. I PERSONALLY think this was one of the BEST Paul concerts I have attended. (this was # eight) He sounded GREAT. I absolutely loved the new stage set up, with video projections above the stage along with the back. Exchanged glances with Paul a few times, gave me the shivers. I liked the setlist ---- contrary to popular opinion (yes, I did read back all 20+ pages). After being a Paul fan for 52 years, he can sing anything he wants and I am happy just to see him. He looked good, too!! Didn't get a chance to check out the merchandise, it was always too crowded. One highlight for me is that he sang "Lady Madonna" in BOTH the soundcheck AND concert.

My seat scored on the day before! I had no idea row c was row one! I posted some vids. A bonus for the night was that Mary McCartney walked by in front of me and was sweet enough to stop and wave at me. What a night worth the drive from L.A. THX PAUL! The new Hofner Bass opener, but maybe a spoiler if your going to one of the shows.
Song opener, enjoy. -
What were the sound check numbers in Fresno? Thanx for info

Opening with AHDN shows you what he thinks of his loyal fan base.
I have every solo CD. I can't imagine many solo songs Id rather hear as an opener than AHDN. The problems with the set list are way beyond the opener and picking on AHDN is focusing on the wrong issue.
It goes to the heart of the issue. He is putting out a CD called Pure McCartney. Then he opens with a song that is NOT Pure McCartney. It's Pure Lennon. Or Pure Beatles. What is clear is Paul is really, at this point, promoting the Beatles. Remember, he gets a LOT of royalties from that little group to this day. Maybe that is how fans here should look at it, and be done with it.
The CD has nothing to do with it- unless you want to say that your complaint about the set list is only b/c of the CD coming out. If your argument is that he is doing too many Beatles Songs, then make that argument.

Thanks, Sgt. Pepper (I wish I had a diet Dr. Pepper, LOL) I did see one sound check list reported elsewhere, but for the "brief Ukulele" it said "brief ukulele--grandma"--what was that? A snipped of a song about a 'grandma' ? Thanx for info, tis a mystery
