Jay Black did the same song at another PBS thing ten years ago -- and stopped the show! Totally brought down the house. Ten years later, he still blows me away.

Here's my input... Al Jardine (of The Beach Boys)- Then I Kissed Her (on the BIG tour this year)
Sounds like 1965 vocals to me! -
Sounds like he's taken great care of his chops!

As the saying goes "Keep it Clean, with Al Jardine"

Chris Cornell's vice is just as wonderful as it was 20 years ago. He is not as old as the others above, but has taken great care of himself.

He must have taken infinite care of his voice! He can still wail after all these years! My bf has a mild crush on him.

How could I forget!?! This man's voice has gotten BETTER over time if you ask me... Roger Hodgson (of Supertramp)- Dreamer

This complicates matters for me: I absolutely cannot stand Supertramp, but -- you're right -- Hodgson's voice definitely still holds up.

I always liked his voice. Neil Young - The Needle & The Damage Done
The voice has kept that 'quiver'. -

I may have to re-name this thread, shifting the focus to not only the great vocalists but the greats -- period -- who can still do their thizz-ang! Neil Young -Cinnamon Girl (live @ Madison Square Garden 200:

Robert Plant/Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll (teaser from the forthcoming DVD of the reunion shows)

I'd argue against that...Robert Plant is sorta in that Elton John category of "Yeah, it still sounds good...but it is quite different from the 70's!"

Neil kicks ass, no doubt about it. My personal favourite is Southern Man (and Heart of Gold), I can only find a version from 2000 with Crosby Stills & Nash, but God... the voice is totally haunting in that song, like a taunting Ghost of Christmas past (which is what he was going for). Here's the CSNY 2000 version.

Aren't Zeppelin a bit too rock n roll for ya Mr. Stones hater? Rob's voice was phenomenal in the 70s, I thought the video showcased the talents he still has to offer.
