Paul and Ringo at the Grammy's

I thought Paul did great. He seemed a little nervous in the very beginning. Vocally, he was a little shaky for the first line or two, but once he relaxed he nailed almost all of it to my ears. Loved the slow middle (I was nervous part) and then the way he kicked ass bringing the song home. It seemed like the audience got into it (even Yoko). My only disappointment is that they didn't give them time to do "With a Little Help from My Friends".... a perfect song for the occasion in my opinion.
I think he did very well also and glad he did a new song .Yep, would have been cool to do "Little Help With My Friends" but I am still satisfied.

Paul performs "Queenie Eye" with Ringo at the Grammy's!!!!!!
And it sounded superb. How you have two Beatles at the Grammy's and open with Beyonce and what's his name with a dreadful song is beyond me. My 20 year old son just called and told me that Queenie Eye sounded great and was downloading it tonight. And Ringo nailed Photograph.

I think there's only been about 4 performances in which I could understand the lyrics, and Paul's and Ringo's were 2 of them!

Agree. And that huge production behind Photograph really reminded me of the huge production on the actual recording. Who was drumming? Henry Spinetti? Wasn't Greg was it???

Really enjoyed Ringo's Photograph, but the highlight was definately Paul doing his latest single with Ringo as guest. Loved seeing how their family members reacted to the performance tonight!

"First at the microphone was Ozzy Osbourne, who appeared so nervous about the prospect of introducing the drummer of his all-time favorite band that he totally botched his teleprompter reading, leaving it to bandmates Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler to clarify what was in store." What's up with this site? Once you click into Broadcast, it shows Rock Show on top??

That was excellent! Not as kick-ass as 2012 Grammy's with Paul rockin' the house down....BUT I was thoroughly impressed with so many things. Paul's voice sounded great, the whole BAND played great, Ringo did a great job learning a song he'll probably never hear again and never heard before, AND....PAUL PLAYED SOMETHING FROM THIS CENTURY. Ringo's solo spot was great too!! It seemed to be very well received and his voice sounded good. He had a great band behind him with a few ex-all-starrs hidden in there! Great night to be a Beatles fan!

Agreed. It must be nerve racking to be in the audience and just waiting to go on. It is even tougher when you have such a reputation like Macca has. After seeing Paul in Concert multiple times, I always thought that his vocals always got better the further the night went on. In this type of setting, Paul isn't always at his best but tonight was one of his better ones. I'm glad he did Queenie Eye since it is rockier than New (the song)

I wonder if they'll part of some finale or if the taped Beatles tribute will in effect, take care of that

Oh, I see....this discussion has been moved! Anyroad, I was peeking at my 15 year-old niece's twitter account, and LOVING the great things posted there by teens re. Paul and Ringo!
-
PS - I agree with the 'shaking at first, but got it going shortly after' crowd

The "Golden Slumbers" Grammy's closer will likely be the best Grammy's closer of the decade. That was phenomenal.

They just said that Paul is coming up next with a special guest you won't believe. Wonder who?
I'm hearing rumours of Paul & Yoko doing Give Peace a Chance. Would be a nice sentiment.

The reason for the move was that the acual "live performance" tonight is more appropriate for the "Rock Show" forum.

Was it just me or did Ringo's right shoulder/arm seem stiff? He didn't use it much, and when he did, it seemed stiff. I think that's the one he had surgery on, isn't it? I wonder if it's giving him trouble again?
Yes, I noticed the same thing during Queenie Eye. Abe was basically doing the primary drumming which makes sense since he knows the song so well and he is so much younger.

Just saw this on Parade magazine site: "Paul, Ringo, and a rainbow piano: does it get any better?"

Lame of Paul to not do a Beatles song with Ringo. C'mon Paul!
