Ignoring the hair (or lack of), Wix reminds me facially of the last Wings drummer, Steve Holley.

They do have similar facial features.

Ha! I'd never seen John play drums except (badly) in Let It Be (the movie).

Really loved the new teaser video!! Very cute and enjoyed seeing the guys singing together. It looks like they have so much fun! Wow, that setlist makes you really want to hear another song(s) soon... Can't decide which version to pre-buy? 14-15 or 16 songs? What's everyone getting? Will probably get the iTunes version first. Wonder when the radios are getting the pre release CD? I really hope that I can somehow get a copy of one of those, because I CAN'T WAIT to hear it!!! I'll have to check with my friend who got one for EA... praying I can get it again!!!

Mod Post Hi Guys, We're spotting posts mentioning enthusiasm to hear or obtain "leaks" or pre-release copies of the upcoming album "New". Please note we cannot allow any posts that mention material unofficially available prior to the formal release date. This might be links to downloads or pointers to sites hosting unreleased material in any form whatever. We may be required to remove posts even suggesting that such has occurred. This includes posts containing personal reviews of material heard through such sources. Whilst we do not doubt the integrity of fans here and are sure they will reward Paul correctly for his efforts by purchasing copies - even multiple copies - of the new album, this site will become the look-see place for profiteers that have no such intention. So even goodwill posts for the benefit of other true fans may damage Paul's efforts commercially and, in consequence, affect sales and chart success. So please, if you learn of any early unauthorised release please don't share that info here. You will have ample opportunity to discuss and celebrate the new release at the appropriate time. Thank you Martin

Hello Martin, Was just wondering, i.e. release dates, are us Britishers embargoed until the 15th before we can say anything or are we allowed our 24 hours of gloating? Regards, *Perry*

ops: I would never do that, but that brings up a good point!

Thanks, Martin. It would appear we are going to NEED to buy multiple copies of "New" just to get all the songs whether we want to or not. That should help Paul commercially. There is the 12-song version, a 14-song version and 15 and/or 16-song versions. Maybe some word should filter back to Paul that it might be nice to have just one version of the album with ALL the songs. Why should loyal fans be treated in this manner? We don't want to hurt Paul commercially, but we would like to be treated a bit differently by him as well.

I'm not so bothered about bonus tracks, but of course I'll get the UK version with Scared and Secret Life of a Party Girl, as for the other bonus tracks I'll catch them at a later date. I suppose it would erk me if I was somebody who was an avid collector and bought the Dance Tonight limited edition shaped CD and all that. TBH if you're of that bent that you need "everything" then you deserve to buy the 3 or 4 editions released globally. You can obviously afford it so stop moaning or wait for the Super deluxe at some point next year, with a bonus DVD and all that game. It's not that important.

I don't "need" everything. I can "obviously afford" all versions? Is any of that any of your business? It's not about what I need or what I can or cannot afford! The point is that there should be one album and one album only! Paul doesn't need the $ by creating multiple versions of his album for people to buy. To say that is hardly moaning. The Beatles were about giving fans the greatest value for their money. Paul is doing just the opposite.

Here we are on page 71. We've finally reached Paul's age! A Philadelphia music critic previews the fall releases. He's a little lazy in his description of Paul's album (since we know that the song "New" is not an indication of the whole album's sound!). "Paul McCartney, New. (On sale Oct. 5.) The still-cute-at-71 Beatle follows up Kisses on the Bottom, last year's loungey album of silly love-song standards, with a full-length set of originals. Recorded with a foursome of young producers including Mark Ronson, Paul Epworth, Ethan Johns, and Giles (son of George) Martin, New's title track suggests that this time out, we're in for a friskier Macca, always reliable with forgettable lyrics and memorable melodies." When it's released, it's released. We might even get more previews of other tracks ahead of the release date as teasers but we will be keeping an eye on the "officialness" of those clips... I'll be looking first at the main web-site as the benchmark of officialness should that occur. Martin

Exactly who gets these new releases of "NEW"? Radio stations? Funny how they make money off Paul & sell the singles for hundreds of $.
-
That was a snarky uncalled-for "lazy" so-called review of "New." Paul Mc. has indeed produced some striking memorable lyrics as well as fantastic melodies over the years. The melody doesn't always totally dominate.
