TOUR REHEARSALS: QUESTIONS
-
RMartinez:
A Paul McCartney concert should feature songs written by McCartney or mostly by McCartney. Not complicated. In My Life is mainly a John song. Enough of that already. It's not like he doesn't have enough McCartney penned tunes. Never or rarely played: Back Seat Of My Car Dear Boy Too Many People Junk Tomorrow Dear Friend Little Lamb Dragonfly Helen Wheels Picasso's Last Words Every Night Letting Go Call Me Back Again Love In Song Beware My Love Silly Love Songs Let 'Em In London Town With A Little Luck Café On The Left Bank Girls School Mull Of Kintyre Goodnight Tonight Getting Closer Spin It On On The Way Take It Away No More Lonely Nights Not Such A Bad Boy My Brave Face This One Get Out Of My Way Hope Of Deliverance Flaming Pie Young Boy Fine Line Only Mama Knows Ever Present Past New His Beatle past: For No One Here There and Everywhere Michelle Martha My Dear You Won't See Me She's Leaving Home Things We Said Today Getting Better Good Day Sunshine Wait
Great setlist!! Actually I'd love more songs from NEW as well...
-
"However Absurd" would be cool indeed and he can get some help for the bridge but I don't think he wants to be reminded of that album too much... "Come On People" would be nice too, probably better actually in a live setting.

I also like 'Write Away' but it's not really a live kind of song live

Back seat of my car would be my favorite any song not yet performed live is a close second revival of: She came in through the bathroom window Venus and Mars Let me roll it Junior´s Farm would also be nice
Let Me Roll It needs to DIE from the setlist! Venus & Mars was done in 2010 & it was the best opening I've seen him do, so I would love it if he did it again with Rockshow being a bit longer including 'The lights go down bit' & the 'Green metal suit' bit included as well. My two favourite bits from the song
Sorry sorry sorry, I mixed up the title, of course I meant Letting go

Aha, no need to apologise. That makes a lot more sense. He briefly did Letting Go in 2010, I don't know what others thought of it but I really liked it when he did it in Glasgow. To me Silly Love Songs & Goodnight Tonight need to be in the setlist as in my opinion those songs are in my top 5 Wings songs

Letting Go is a marvellous song. One of his very best ever. And unusually, a heavy metal love song. It's one of the reasons I flew to the USA in 2010...to hear those Venus and Mars tracks live.

Saw a clip of Hope of Deliverance in Orlando. The crowd reception was less than enthusiastic...

Which is why it was never played again in the States after that.

But watch it when he plays it in Mexico 2012 the response was great

I hope Paul plays Silly Love Songs because it's a great summer song and this year marks the 40th anniversary of it hitting #1 in the charts in 1976. Just a great bass line from Paul and the horn section sizzles.
-
Horn section !? that would be amazing
-
Has he ever played Mary Had a Little Lamb in concert?

That would be my dream!! Love you Wix but synth can never compete with the real deal. I was at the Grammy show when Paul and Ringo did Sgt Pep. and they had horn players!! also the Guadalajara show with mariachi so lots of trumpets. and it sounded so bad ass

HaileyMcComet:

That's kind of impressive that he would have the nerve to play it in concert. There's no way he'd ever do that now.
-
Righto. 10 days until Fresno. Any rumours, gossip, exclusives or leaks regards songs rehearsed?
-
But Paul will play his rehearsals in London or in USA?
