Wasn't Temporary Secretary added because Paul (or Paul's people) heard that a DJ had been playing it at a club?
yeah that apparently, and Nancy liked it.
I believe I heard she also likes Let Me Roll It.

What I find interesting is all the songs Brian said they ran through for the 05 tour. Mentioned many titles that would see light of day YEARS later, and yet Paul opted for 3 very early period Beatles songs: Til There Was You, Please, Please Me and I'll Get You! 1 a cover, 1 an obscure b-side, 1 a pre-Beatlemania UK hit. Each of them though pretty much same time-frame Beatles.

If LMRI gets trotted out AGAIN, my head will explode!

Fool on the Hill?
I heard him rehease that one back in 2010 the night before a concert, so it wouldn't be surprising for it to finally return this year, along with some of the songs mentioned in previous posts. Silly Love Songs would be likely too.
Silly Love Songs is a glaring omission. Surely it gets a go this year. If it does It'll probably be in a much shortened version.

Silly Love Songs is one of his most successful songs so I don't get why it's not done live. Also along with Goodnight Tonight as well. Of course there are countless songs I want him to do but I shouldn't be having most of the nods to the Wings/Solo fans played during the pre-show bit. But the pre-show is awesome though

I don't think we'll ever have a chance of "Silly Love Songs" in a touring band without Linda. "Goodnight Tonight" is surely do-able. I wouldn't count on anything from Flowers in the Dirt to re-appear at this point either. and "Let Me Roll it"?...that ain't rollin' away anywhere anytime soon

He didn't play yet these Beatles' songs: Hold Me Tight What You're Doing Tell me what you see When I'm Sixty-Four Martha My Dear Rocky Raccoon Why Don't We Do It In The Road Honey Pie Maxwell's Silver Hammer Oh! Darling

I wasn't too sure about it without Linda but after hearing Abe's harmonies on Listen to What the Man Said & I think it can be done. Sure it won't be the same without Linda but the harmonies on the Beatles songs aren't the same without Lennon & Harrison but we enjoy it anyway.

No 'Wild Honey Pie' ;)? We can add 'Every Little Thing'.

I suspect most of them will never be played..."What You're Doing" and "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" are the only two I could see making it in at some point.

He's soundchecked a bit of "Martha My Dear," so it's possible he may play it.

Yeah, 'Martha My Dear' is up next. One of his very best anyway. The only one from the list I can't see why it was never brought out. Vocally now? Here comes Abe Jr... The rest is either barrel of the bottom Beatles material or just too, by the lack of better words, gimmick-y. But hey, he brought out 'All Together Now' as setlist staple! 'What You're Doing' and 'Every Little Thing' are good songs actually. 'Rocky Raccoon' could work, but again falls a bit in the 'too specific' category, and all not without reason these songs are the very last to be potentially played. I hope for a 'Please Please Me'/'I'll Get You'-surprise again. And wow, 'The Word' worked so well, so if he HAS to play a Lennon song, one with that impact, please.

Seeing we're scraping the bottom of the barrel, don't forget That Means a Lot!

I concur.

Has he done She's a Woman without The Beatles? He knocked my socks off with my I'm Down in '09 so it might still work - also Kansas City, sad I missed it a couple years back. Yes he doesn't have the same vocal range but it still rocked, I think. Edit: Oops, he did it in '04. Also did "You Won't See Me" and dropped it before making it to the US.
-
Gee, if he has to do a Lennon song.... After watching Dave Grohl and Jeff Lynne a few years ago at the Grammies shred the song, I would love to see "Hey Bulldog" just to hear him and Rusty/Abe sing it over the bass lines....
-
What about In my Life or Ticket to Ride for Lennon based songs. I personally would be happy to hear them both.

Haha, something like 'One And One Is Two' would be seriously cool, in a 'In Spite Of All Danger' kind of way. They didn't call it the 'One And One' tour for nothing... Oh wait...
-
Yep time for a new Lennon song, "Ticket to Ride" would certainly work.
-
I'd like to see "In My Life" come in as a replacement for the Lennon tribute...and a little homage to George Martin in the middle too!
