Madonna is out front in the poll. But the best one I remember is Michael Jackson.

He mentioned Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" the previous year, at his NFL press conference, said he didn't anticipate the same happening to him.

Was that where his hair caught on fire? Oh wait, that was the Pepsi commercial!

I actually can't stand the camerawork from Paul's appearance - all those shots swooping down to the stage and back up again. Made it extremely unwatchable for me. His performance was fine, but I just hate the way they shot it. Not counting Paul, I think the most memorable show for me was U2. Very powerful post-9/11.

Wow, "Mr. McCartney does not even get 1% of the vote. He may not have been the best but he was in my top 5.

                Maybe I'm amazed !!

Shame If this board alone can vote for him he will win, but it seems no one interested anymore

That's because he wasn't the best performance at The Super Bowl. Not for any other reason. :

They had a similar article in our papers in Australia today. Mentioned a lot of different performances. Paul got a mention. Their overriding "best" leant to U2. We have our football Grand Final in Australia. It's the "Superbowl" equivalent. Gets a 100,000 + crowd every year. We have a pre-game performance and a half-time performance. But the thing is nobody cares. Everyone is too engrossed in the game. No one is there for the entertainment. Mind you, we've had some pretty ordinary artists. But most people are too nervous to watch anything before the game or at half-time, are having a beer or sneaking a cigarette. It's all about the game. If you have time, google Meatloaf's performance in the 2011 Grand Final. The guy received a shiteload of money for this. It still goes down as the biggest joke of a performance. Out of tune. Horribly... and worse, a terrible decision by our administrators to give him the gig. I tried to attach the link but it didn't work. But believe me, it was embarrassing for ol' Loaf.

Paul's position in this poll is a joke - even if not 'the favorite', his performance was much more worthy than the .69 percent he's running at the moment. Heck, that performance of Live and Let Die was almost worthy of placing him in the top 5 all by itself...With that said, given that polls like these often lead to results favoring the flavor of the month, I never expected him to be right at number 1. I recall there being chatter that the performance wasn't really live (or something along those lines)...but the fact is that even if true, many other's have done the same (and I don't know if it is, except that you can hear a taped version of Paul counting into songs)...and a few of those acts are placing much better than Paul in this poll

Janet Jackson is probably the most talked about Super Bowl "appearance." Paul was so/so, not great, especially if you've seen a whole concert. He's barely warmed up in 12 minutes! He was certainly not as bad as The Who. I also remember Springsteen was fantastic! Katy Perry tomorrow. Should be pretty good!

Thought Katy Perry did alright. She was better than the game anyway!

I liked Paul's show but it really wasn't as memorable as some of the others as far as production. I liked last night's. Fun to watch evenif she was clearly lip synching. I don't think anyone sings it live.
