So...what's next for Paul?

The tentative MPL schedule I saw said that he's going to have that video game with new music in 2014, as well as V&M and Speed of Sound reissues. Then in 2015, it's supposed to be the "High In The Clouds" movie soundtrack, plus Tug Of War and Pipes Of Peace reissues.
So no London Town/Back to the Egg reissues???
Who knows?? Haha. How long have we been promised the V&M and Speed of Sound reissues??

Let's hope he rests up after Japan, and then fires off a worldwide spring 14 "New Tour"
One that would be minty fresh!

I just had another look at that Scott Rodger (Paul's manager) interview from last year, where he talks extensively about the archive reissue series, and I noticed that he says there will be a total of "8 or 10" over "4 or 5 years." So, are we getting near the end of these? So far, we've had: Band on the Run, McCartney, McCartney II, Ram, and Wings Over America; with, supposedly still to come: Venus & Mars, Speed of Sound, Tug of War, and Pipes of Peace. That's nine titles right there. Unless they're counting the "paired" releases as one, but even then that would be 6 accounted for. At any rate, I don't think we'll be seeing Driving Rain or Wide Prairie, but then, how likely even are London Town and Back to the Egg?
-
I would love to see the new reissues being London Town and Back to the Egg. Particularly the latter. That album grows and grows on me still to this day. Would also love a rapid-fire new album.... as someone already said it could be called "Newer'.... or perhaps "Brand Spanking"? But what I really want is something akin to the Lennon Anthology. That is brilliant. And with much less material to play with. Alternate versions, unreleased tracks, versions of songs he wrote for others to record, home demos, ditties, chit chat (with the odd expletive thrown in)... it is the ultimate "fan" record". Something close to a hundred songs. I'd love something similar with Paul. We haven't seen it yet. Wingspan and the McCartney Years are awesome and always on high rotation, but they are in line with the McCartney image - polished. I want a McCartney Anthology. Bare. Ragged at times. There must be so much material out there. It would be Maccanificent.

what's next for Paul, well I would love for him to come to my house, take a rest and then do what he always does, being HIMSELF

Just a quick little thing, we were told about the music sound track for the game "destiny" in mid 2012 if the game is coming out in 2014, and knowing the company bungie ( was a HUGE gamer before) the sound track would probably be done by now... To prove my point even further, the game is mentioned to be released on the Xbox one ( still a stupid name) and the PlayStation 4, which are both new systems. now, they would not be going down the Nintendo path of releasing a console and making people wait 2 years for some games people actually want, they want masses of people buying the console at launch. so the game would be released, even though its not announced, sometime in the middle of 2014 or late 2014. Plus to put another nail in the coffin that the music's done, if you preorder the game, you have access to the beta of the game. with this, I end my case. actually I don't, because on top of that, how would that affect Paul in 2014? for advertising purposes?? quick thing: no one ever advertises a games composer for sales, NO ONE. ( unless its something like rockband, no one does) Unless the MPL schedule is trying to imply that the game will be delayed... oh man the Bungie fan boys will be rioting in the streets.... all of that ^ might of been confusing so... that was my inner gaming self letting it all out... I don't know if my research skills are just terrible, but last time I checked there was no red rose speedway reissue. WHERES MY PRECIOUS RED ROSE SPEEDWAY!??? please just give us all the reissues all at once, its "tearing me apart" that we have to wait for the releases individually in any random order.... to fill the gap, you can release the " Paul McCartney raw anthology's 1-703", that would make people happy Also, if anything, id prefer a year Australia tour, cause you know, its a pretty big continent

I wonder why "Wild Life" and "Red Rose" Speedway are being ignored in the remaster series? Anyway, it looks like Paul will rest for a few months and then take his new tour to Europe, probably in March/April or June.

I would love to see videos of Paul & the band REALLY rehearsing & learning the "NEW" songs. Not after they know them & know how to play them. Kinda like a fly on the wall...seeing all that goes into that type of a session. Paul saying..no no play that like this....or wow, that was a great way to do it.

You mean a "Let It Be" version of the "New" sessions?

Exactly.

It is strange that Red Rose Speedway in particular is being overlooked since there is alot of unreleased material that could be included from those sessions. Much as I like Wild Life I don't think there can be much unreleased material to choose from. On the subject of demos, I'd love to have all those Ram demos officially released.
-
I think the maximum we're likely to see from the archives, beyond what's already planned, could be Wild Life / Red Rose Speedway and London Town / Back to the Egg.

Everything is so staged now. I'd rather hear actual "sessions".

I guess that next thing Paul will do is : play and play... he can't stop, it would be nice if he does what he say in the note at the beginning, but i don't believe him, is basically projected to the future never looks behind, if he does it..he probably could not follow

True. I believe Paul will do whatever he feels like doing. Whatever strikes his fancy for the moment. Reminds me of the magickal motto from the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn of one member, named Moina Bergson Mathers: Vestigia nulla retrorsum (Latin: "I never retrace my steps") I don't see Paul as one who retraces his steps, or looks back long enough to go back. Just finds more inspiration in what he finds in the Future to get his creative juices flowing again. Of course Sir Paul's motto is Ecce Cor Meum. *and this is my 6666 post.*

I hope he comes out with another Fireman album, in the same vein as 'Electronic Arguments'. After listening to 'New', I'm realizing its too polished for my liking.

I hope a new Fireman project emerges somewhere in 2014/2015. Other releases I'd love to see in the near future would be a new live compilation album from "Out There". We haven't seen one in a while. Not just one concert (i.e. "Good Evening New York City"), but a "best-of-tour" release, like "Paul Is Live", "Tripping The Live Fantastic", etc. with some soundcheck bonus tracks. With so many new songs and additions to the Out There list, a new live album would be awesome - perhaps highlighting Brazil, Bonnaroo, Japan, etc. I'm also excited for the next Archive releases, and am crossing my fingers for "Give My Regards To Broad Street" on Blu-Ray one day...
